Hi Amber

Hi Amber

I was reading your post and wanted to let you know, that if you should ever need to chit chat, please feel free to stop by PEN PALS NEEDED FOR MY 1-2-3 PLAN.

We have an awesome group of ladies from all over the U.S. and we might even have one from Oregon. The group is growing so fast and everyone is soooo nice, I think you would enjoy it.

Congratulations for changing your way of life and I wish you good health through it.

Have a great lowcarb day and remember...YOU CAN DO IT!

Linda

New granny! Finally facing facts!

Hi, I'm Dew. I actually live in Battle Ground WA but I work in Portland and consider BG the Metro Area. It would be great to have a chain of Oregonian/Washintonians that could meet and do lunch.

I just found the Low Carb Habit in Vancouver (on SR 503).

I need lots of help because if I don't learn to live the low carb way I have a lot of diabetic nightmares to face. I am reading a book by Dr. Richard Bernstein about diabetes. I am insulin dependent.

I am at dewdrop_mealine@yahoo.com if you want to give me a holler there.

BTW I am a native Oregonian. So many people moving to this paradise we are becoming the exception.

Welcome Sheryl

Hi Sheryl,

As you can see not many come back to this list. I participate in the Type !! Diabetics List. Oregon does have a lot of good LC sources.

I have a sis that owns property out Eddyville way. They are in AZ for now.

Can I suggest you look under the Challenges category and find one you can identify with. The Type 2bies have really been an inspiration to me.

I live in Battle Ground WA and work in Portland. I was born and raised in Oregon. It's paradise!

Hope you find lots of information and inspiration here!

Hi Amber!

Good for you on your goal!!

Hey, this is my 1st post so here goes...

I live in Portland and work in Tualatin. Ive lived in the area now for 20 years and love it.

Ive had a hard time losing weight and am determined this time to make it work! I am also looking for local support/friends. I am a slow loser and a type II diabetic. This time I'm doing my own "new-way-of-eating-for-life-diet" as nothing else seemed to work for me... I am a carboholic!!! So I gave up pasta, potatoes and bread (a HUGE change for me). It seems to be working with a little exercise (gradually increasing day by day - another big change for me) 60lbs to go!

We need each other to get through this! Im with ya! Also interested in any get togethers for support.

..T
