We keep seeing everyone on here needing a pen pal and some support, well we're here to help. The worst thing is for a newbie to post and not get a response so we're beating you all to the punch. If you want someone to stay on your back and make sure you're following the program, we can help you with that. We have a group of people who keep us in line and we do the same for them. If you need some support or someone to talk to this is the place for you. We want to make sure that anyone who really want to lose weight get's the help they need. OK HERE ARE THE RULES FOR NO WEIGH NOVEMBER

YOU CAN NOT WEIGH FROM NOV 1ST- NOV 25TH.

NEXT OFFICIAL WEIGH IN DAY IS NOV 25TH RIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING.

IF YOU REACH YOUR MINI GOAL BY THEN THANKSGIVING WILL BE AN OFFICIAL CHEAT DAY FOR YOU.

IF YOU CHOSE TO TAKE THIS CHALLENGE YOU CAN NOT, I REPEAT YOU CAN NOT STEP ON YOUR SCALE FOR THE ENTIRE TIME OF THE CHALLENGE. YOU CAN NOT REPORT ANY WEIGHT ON THE BOARD FOR THE ENTIRE TIME OF THE CHALLENGE AND YOU MUST CONCENTRATE ON INCHES MEASUREMENTS AND HOW YOU FEEL.

WE ARE TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM LETTING THE SCALES DICTATE WHO WE ARE.

good morning and welcome to freedom

I hope everyone finds there way but we will make sure they do. Ok. I am so ready for the freedom this month will allow. Freedom fro the scales. I weighed yesterday and I will not weigh again until Thanksgiving. I have taken my measurment this morning and Im ready for this. If anyone thinks that they are going to have trouble staying off the scales and you can not hide them then put them in the garbage. They don't cost that much and at the end of the month you can go and buy a new one. I have had hubby get the scales and put them up and I don't know where they are. We can all do this.

Machon - I enjoyed our chat last night. You are such a good friend and I appreciate everything you have done for me. Also I could not beleive it about the email thing and my isp thiniking it was triple x rated. Its funny how some of your emails got thru but the two important ones were quaretined. I will check that section everyday that way I don't miss anything.

Well, I am waiting or my mom to come for a visit. I love the women but she causes me stress. She is over weight as well but no matter how much weight I lose is never enough. She is always on Carolyn about her weight and the girl only weighs 140. She looks really good, but mom is always complaining about her weight. But she is on her way so I am going to get ready. Good morning lady Queens

Ok, I am ready for this challenge. I only weigh myself in the mornings before my shower......so, I guess I will not shower until Nov. 25......LOL......

I think my sugar intake is too low. My hands were tingling and I felt so very light headed. I ended up buying a soda to give myself a quick fix and it worked. Thing is I just went to the doctor and got blood work and everything was fine except my HDL Cholesterol. It was a tad low.

My goal for November is 5lbs. and to exercise at least 3 to 4 times a week. This last week has been horrible. So moody. I even yelled at tricker treators last night to get out of the road. My DH told me to roll my window up and shut up. TOM has been a very ugly, nasty person. But today I am feeling much better. Do you all think it might be because my sugar is low?

Good Morning Queenies

Hello

Well Tom is almost gone and Lizett is almost back to herself...
ive exercise 1.5 hrs everyday this week. Unfortunetly water intake sucked.

For some reason Halloween was the worst temptation day so far...Thanksgiving (Oct13) was a breeze erghhh. I did good tho...Only 2 1/2 cups of popcorn..and i piece of pumpkin pie YAY

im still in ketosis which is good.
Ive been getting lots of complimemnts lately so tahst helped me alot.

im still not sure about the whole not weighing for a mnth OUCHIE...

I'll think about it okies?
But if i do doit i will do like a mini goal of 5 pds....
It was hard reaching my halloween challenge..

Hey everyone. You all can get rid of the scales, believe me if I can do it anyone can do it.

Lizett- 5 pound goal sounds great. Everyone has to remember it is only three weeks away. Dont go making some large goals. The real goal is not standing on the scale, not the pound losage.

Xenia- i just want to let you know we have another Queen Ann on the board. Dont want you to get confused so I will call you Queen XAnn that way I can keep it straight. See if you had a name like Machon there would be no confusion, LOL. Glad to see you've joined the challenge though. I just need your starting weight.

cqueen- trying to keep down on the name confusion. you need to drink more water. you cant go yelling at kids, cool down girl, lol.

Teresa- i'm not going to keep telling you your the best but you are. Everyone teresa got me through my dating jitters. In two weeks I will go on my first real date since the May. Very scared about the whole thing. She gave me some kicks in the butt and now i'm good. I will keep you all posted on the date. Believe me the excitement has not set in yet, but when it does i'll let you know. I'll post some pics also.

Well I've gone to the gym today and I feel great. Drinking water as we speak and I took my measurements. For anyone who needs to know what measurements to take here is the list. Bust/Chest, Waist, Hips, Upper Arms, and Thighs. You might want to measure your calfs also. They will most likely get bigger though if your walking. Or the muscle will start to show. I didnt measure them. Remember get rid of those scales.

I just want to let you know some of the stats that I have for the November challenge. If you dont see your name could you email me or just post it. The first column is your current weight and the second is your challenge weight loss.

I would like to do the challenge. I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday but didn't get the chance. I'm at 182 and want to get to 175. I have been in a stall for about 8 weeks and hope this will help. I also have the goal of exercising 3-5 times/week.

Hey everybody! I'm in auburn right now on a friends computer so this will be short. But i have excercised so much today. We went to the game and our seats were on the very very top!! I walked atleast 2 miles and climbed up about 70 stairs!! My legs are gonna be sore tomorrow. I havent had anything to bad today and Ive had a lot of water. I did however have a diet coke but its ok. I need to go but congratulations to all who made the Halloween Challenge!!

Machon: yes that is right but the spelling of my name is not!! Its ok though..i'll forgive you this time! (Its Crissey)

Well I survived a day of shopping with my mom. For once she really gave me compliments today. She told me that I have not done this good on a diet in a long time. It really suprised me. She never does that. But anyway she bought me a pair of jeans and a bra. I got a pair of size 14 Gloria Vanderbilt. They are stretch but they are still 14's. The last ones were 17s. It was the first time we went shopping and she bought me something.
Seems like eveyone is setting realic goals for the challenge. I thing we will all be happier throwing out the scales. I have taken my measurements for the month and I will measure again on the 25 when I weigh. I know that I have to go back to the doctor and I will make it as close to the 25th as possible that way I will not be weighed til then.

Liz I am glad that you made your halloween challenge. I am going to check in the moring to make sure that i am still in ketosis. Then every few days to keep a check on it. YOu are doing really good,.

Stacy - glad you decide to join the challenge. I like to think that once we get rid of the scales that we will be more in a weight loss mood. I know that I have been focusing on the scales and not on the inches. I looked back and since I started atkins I have lost like 6 inches in my waist alone. This is great to me.

Xann - I have already told everyone that I am making the pumpin pie this year for thanksgiving and the deviled eggs. I plan to cheat a little on Thanksgiving (if I make my 6 pounds loss) by having some potato salad. My mom makes the best potato salad I have ever eaten. If for some reason ( even though I have asked her not to) my mom makes sweet potato casserole I will have a small amount of it. But all of this depends on how I do the rest of the month and if I make my six pound challenge. I am going to work really hard on it.

Machon - You will do ok on the date. Just take it one day (date ) at a time. You have to remember that you are gaining confidence as you lose weight. Also, just remember that I want you to stay in a public place until you are 100% sure about him. I just want you to be safe. If something happen to my best friend I don't know what I would do. I love you girl.

Chrissey - first I will not hold it against you that you went to an Auburn game ( I know you don't know any better ) lol You should go to Ole Miss games. I like Auburn as long as they are not playing Alabama or Ole Miss. ( YOu kow they are going to be beat by both Alabama and Ole MIss.)

Vic - I know what you mean I feel like I have known you all more than just 3 weeks. We have had some of the best talks and as some have told us things that they may not have told many people. I know I have. We are all connected by more than just this way of life. I know that Machon and I have more in common that I have with people right here at home. And if Machon's new friend doesn't treat her the way we thing she should be treated then we will take care of him.

Well I am going to go for right now. I will check in tomorrow with you all and see how things are going. As far as weekly motto goes I think that that is a great idea. That way we have more insiration. What does everyone think? As for the weekly chat, I am all for it. Who is in?

Ok, I have to give you the SKINNY on what's been up with me!

As I told you ladies before that my hubby and son were gone ALL weekend hunting.. and I would be all alone..to enjoy myself. WELL.....last night when I got home my hubby's jeep was in the driveway!!!! WHAT~!!!!! Well, they had a bad snow storm so they had to come home! I did feel bad for them.....HECK...what am I talking about....I wanted to say...Well..SO, you had coats...and sleeping bags..You should have stayed! LOL

I have to tell you something so funny....and some (not you guys) would think I was nuts! Well.....I had just been hired at a clothing store for Christmas (yes this would have been my 2nd job). Well, the more I thought about it....and relized that I would NEVER have time to post..and chat... not to mention...I'm helping with our churches Childrens Christmas play....and with all the holidays... WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!! So, I called them up and quit...before I had even started!! See.........don't you QUEENIES...feel special...
I know I've been kind of slacking when it comes to posting...but,,,,I'm BACK..and will get it together and make up for lost time....LOL... (HEY Machon...we may need to change threads...like every three days...LOL)

I'm sorry that I failed in my reporting duties.....regarding our Typing party....Please don't fire me!! I will do better next time...PROMISE!!

good morning

I’m ready for Thanksgiving.
I plan to make a few low carb dishes and not totally blow by success. If I let go I know I would gain it all back. It’s good that turkey is low carb, I can make sure I eat more turkey than anything else. My in-law's and one of my mother-in-laws ant & uncle are coming to our tiny little apartment for the Thanksgiving holidays.
I’m telling my mother-in-law not to bring anything. She is notorious for bringing sweets even when both she and my father-in-law are diabetic. Every time she visits I have to load up the trash can with junk she has brought into my home.

Anyway, my goal for November is 8 pounds. I wish my husband would do this with me. He claimed he is as he was eating a box of Redenbacher popcorn covered with chocolate and caramel last night. I told him he needed to reread the Atkins’ book. At least he is now keeping his bad stuff put up out of my sight and he put the scale away too.

Sonnya I have been working two jobs since I was 19 when I was buying my first truck. Friday I had an interview and was hired for a third job. I must be the crazy one! They offered my $20.00 an hour to teach crocheting classes once a week beginning in January. It will be extra money to decorate my new house. I can’t wait until it is finished. We went for two hours yesterday and it is all framed up now.

Crocheting

Anna.......I crochet all the time. I can't even watch TV without crocheting.......I have sold quite a bit of it on E-bay....

For Thanksgiving we have 2 separate places to go. Luckily everyone brings their own dish and at least 5 of us are Low carbing.

I get to do the Christmas dinner and then we will have 2 other places to go.

I am going to start induction again this week. I have had the most awful cravings and hungry all the time feeling. So I am going to start all over....I haven't caved in to the cravings, just so very hungry and I wasn't like that when I first started.

I think my problem has been I really haven't had the food here like for supper. .....so I made out a menu and will go shopping today.......I am going to have to lable my food so my family doesn't eat it all up.....they are not helping me one bit.....My DH eats like a pig, it's kind of discusting.

I think the reason I have been so testy last month is because my family has ate all my legal foods.....for instance....we have always had eggs in the frig and no one ever eats them...now I eat them everyday and so does everyone else. I have salad stuff and my DH wipes it out in 1 day and the list goes on. He gets mad at me because I get mad because he is eating my food. So now I try to buy extra.......It seems like the harder I try the worse it gets.......I am feeling sorry for myself here...sorry....just needed a little vent....

One thing I started doing was buying a head of lettuce instead of the already cut up...it saves money + my family is too lazy to cut up their own salad.

Hi Cheryl,
Do you really make any money by selling on e-bay? It seems like with all the hours it takes and the cost of yarn it wouldn’t be very profitable. I’ve been teaching for two years through our local school district’s community education program. It actually pays better than my full time job, but it’s impossible to get 40 hours a week. I use the extra cash for my home or holiday and b-day gifts. I also enjoy working with the women who take my classes. Some have even taken a class with me every semester since I began teaching.

For the first time my husband ate up my low carb snacks last week. I let him know that they were for me and made him buy me some more last night.

Have a good day, we are off to a Sausage Festival for a little fun and good Germen food. Low carb of course.

Cheryl- dont get mad that they are eating the food. This is what you do. I figure you do the grocery shopping so if they insist on eating your low carb foods you just stop buying junk foods and double up on low carb stuff. That way your not mad and you're not yelling at them. If they want chips and candy then make them go buy it. You will have a low carb house and just think your entire family will be healthy. I know you get upset because your trying really hard and when you want something it's gone, that's the worse feeling in the world. But look at it this way your still on track, dont let them get you discouraged.

For some reason lately I've been really happy. Maybe is has to do with getting rid of that scale. Amazing what that will do for you. Anyway I've been in a very positive mood lately. I can not wait for the chat tonight. Very excited. Im going to get my work done early so I can hang around a little longer tonight. I figured two hours would be enough time but I was wrong. You ladies chat forever.

Hi Queens

The holiday spirit is in the air. I haven't decided what's on my menu yet. I'm thinking of how to make my favorites lowcarb. I know for sure I'm making the pumpkin pie. I forgot who posted it, but I know it sounded good. If anyone has some recipe's please post them...I need some ideas.

I am excited about our typing party tonite. Hopefully only one id will come up tonite. mytwins53. I'll talk to you all later

Machon......I actually did double up on the low carb foods. I figured if thats what they want, then that's what they will get......I want my family to eat healthy, but first I have to learn how. Thank you for keeping me on track. I want to apologize for being so b*tchy and mopey and p*ssy and feeling sorry for myself. I had a eyeopener today and am back on track. TOM has been quite rude this month...LOL

Turtlady....I can't remember you name.......I had made quite a bit on e-bay selling my afghans...It has slowed down quite a bit...I have several repeat buyers that e-mail me for more afghans......I would love to do what you are and teach a class.....But...I can't read a pattern...I can look at one and figure it out and somewhat read one....I have several patterns I have made up myself. I have dabbled in mini's also....
