pals needed for support 29yrs old.....welcome
ITS SO HARD FOR ME TO DECIDE MY MEALS ESPECIALLLY WHEN IAM OUT WITH MY FAMILY. ITS SO EASY TO DRIVE UP TO BURGER KING OR THE BIG M. MY HUBBY IS THE WORSE HE LOVES THE FAST FOODS FROM OUTSIDE. I HAVE A SON WHO IS 9YRS OLD HE PLAYSS FOOTBALL NOW HE HAS TO MEET WEIGHT IN ORDER TO PLAY BUT MY HUSBAND DONT HELP.........IF I'M BUSY AND CANT FIX UP FOOD HE'LL PICK UP THE PHONE AND ORDER CHINESE, PIZZA ETC.....I TRY TO ELIMINATE SOME CARBS FOR MY SON FOR INSTANCE IF HE WANTS A GRILL CHEESE SANDWICH I WILL GIVE HIM ONE SLICE OF BREAD.........FOR DINNER A SMALL PORTION OF RICE ETC.....MY HUBBY SEE WHAT I EAT BUT CANT PLAN A MEAL FOR THE KIDS OR MAKE THE EFFORT BUT THEN AND AGAIN AGREES W ME THAT MY SON CONSUMES TOO MUCH CARBS AND SUGAR DRINKS......I NEED TO KNOW WHAT SHOULD I DO W THIS PROBLEM WITH THE RT APPROACH IN SELECTING RT FOODS FOR MY FAMILY. IT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE I'M LOOKING GOOD EATING RT WHILE MY FAMILY GETTING SLOPPY IN THE LONG RUN. I LOVE THEM TOO MUCH.

Hi:
Try fixing them lots of meats and veggies. Let them know that rice and potatoes (starchy veggies), will only be served 1 day per week. Also, make cassaroles that uses veggies, meat and cheeses and no noodles. They will probably love that. Make meatballs mixed with cheese and veggies, they will definitely love that. And to think no starches are in this dish! If everyone is overweight, you can do this together. Hopefully this will work for you. Tell them you want to make this a family thing and if everyone gives it a try for 30 days and find that they don't like it, then they can eat whatever they want. But you need to stay focused for yourself. Do what you need to do for yourself... and that is to get healthy. Tell your husband if he wants his son not to get diabetes and heart disease, he will support you for at least 30 days. Good Luck! Linda |
