New to Atkins today - all support welcomed!

Hi, I have 2 sons (ages 10 and 12), work full time as a secretary and enjoy reading, stitching and scrapbooking. I'm active in Boy Scouts with my boys, but would love to have the energy to keep up with them all day long. I have 100 pounds to lose. I'll turn 50 in December and want to live longer and enjoy my boys and life to the fullest. Any hints, guidance and support is welcome - hope to make new friends here, and I'll support you when you need it too. I have ICQ, Yahoo IM, and AIM - private message me to get info. Thanks to all who answer!

WOE: Atkins
Start Date: June 2003
Greeting Bump53.... My wife and I are both on the Atkins program. I lost weight on it in the 70's and gained it back and have been up and down for years. I am 53 and love the energy level and sense of wellbeing that comes with this WOE/WOL. It is not a diet to us but a life style in regards to food and eating. If you don't have an Atkins book please get one and read it. It is well worth the time and money. I would say to stay faithful to the diet, drink lots of water ( I have seen people talk about 60 to 150 oz per day), if physically able get some moderate expercise, go to the recipe listing on this web page and try new stuff ( don't get bored with the same food every day or week) and don't get unhappy when you hit a pause or lull in the weight lost
I a short time you will be enjoying scout activities with your sons and loving the new you. If you have guestions or need support this page is the place to be. Folks are great that post here.
