Substituting Splenda for honey?
What is the ratio for subsituting Splenda in recipes that call for honey? I have a great curry-cajun chicken recipe that includes honey, and I've been missing it.
I used to serve it over a bed of rice, I guess I'll need to come up with a substitution for that too... any suggestions? |

Here is a site with guidelines for substituting honey for sugar...would probably help with the reverse, substituting Splenda (sugar) for honey... ;-)
http://food4.epicurious.com/HyperNew...0/38779/1.html PS: There is an excellent 0 carb honey substitute...Steels Maltitol Honey, and you could try Splenda mixed in 0 carb glycerine for a similar texture. Last edited by locarbman; 04-25-2003 at 07:11 PM.. |
