I checked the thread for the past year and the post is GONE!! I know, cause I posted it. I will give you the recipe as follows, but I'm sorry I do not have all of the tweeks that came with the original thread.

CHEDDAR CRACKERS

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup protein isolate (soy or wheat)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
2 tblsp sour cream

Put the ingredients into a food processor and set on dough cycle. Roll into two rolls (like refrigerator cookies) and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about 2 hours. Slice about 1/8 inch and place on parchment paper or aluminum foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Peel off paper and place on paper towels to cool.

estimate 9-10 dozen crackers

On the protein isolate, I said soy or wheat, which should have been soy or whey. I'm sure the new wheat that is available would be good too.

Thanks Everyone

Janiep: I made these and they are pretty good, I will try again with extra sharp cheese and some parmasean to perk them up even more! I will also try the wheat protein isolate this time. I did NOT help them using some Vanilla Whey powder to make up for lack of soy protein powder.

Thanks for a great recipe!

Maybe hot pepper cheese would give it a good boost. I do remember most people needed to add more water to the original recipe.
