The BEST CRACKERS I have EVER made!!!
I got the recipe from a different site and thought I would try them. The recipe reminded me of the almond thins that everyone loved.....except me.
1 cup Hazelnut flour/meal (I used Bob's Red Mill) 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese packed into cup (I used green can) 1 egg white Call for 2 cloves garlic...I used garlic powder Calls for 2 teaspoons of your favorite herb, chopped...I put none, hate herbs Any salt, pepper or spices to taste I used onion powder, garlic powder and Monterey Steak Seasoning! I also added some cayenne....they were pretty spicy ![]() Preheat the oven to 250....mix everything together.....you will be using a regular sized cookie sheet.....you can use parchment, I used non-stick reynolds wrap that I even oiled slightly. Put the dough on your greased paper with another sheet over it and roll out to a rectangle. I rolled mine out pretty thin wanting to get them crisp. Once rolled out I used a knife to score them landing up with 48 crackers about the size of wheat thins. Bake them for 45 minutes the recipe says, but I let mine go one hour, then I turned off the oven and let them sit in there awhile. Let cool then break them into the crackers and store. 1 cup hazelnut flour..............20 carbs....12 fiber...........8 net Parm Cheese..........................2 carbs.......0.................2 1 egg white.............................0............... ...................0 Total WITHOUT THE ADJUSTMENT FOR HERBS/SPICES is 10 net carbs for the whole batch! You will absolutely not believe how delicious these are! Hazelnut flour ROCKS ![]()
