Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Does anyone have a tried and true recipe?
This seems like a perfect LC Easter dessert. I wasn't happy with my last chocolate dipping sauce. |

I just melt hershey's sf chocolate chips and dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate, or drizzle the chocolate over them if you want less chocolate per strawberry. You can add a drop or two of oil if the chocolate is not thin enough to suit. You can also use a sf dark chocolate bar the same way.

Hi Barbo, I use any low carb chocolate but we don't dip them. I mix mascarone cheese with liquid sweetner (to taste). Sometimes I put grated orange peel in the cheese also. Then I cut a slit in the strawberry and fill with the cheese mixture. Next I drizzle the melted chocolate over it. I use different chocolates, sometimes white and chocolate or all chocolate. Sometimes orange flavored if I can find it. We love these and are having them for Easter dessert this year.

I just made these up because the strawberries needed to be eaten and it sounded yummy. Quick, easy and delicious!!
I bar of Lindt 70-90% cocoa or your favorite chocolate bar Splenda to sweeten or your favorite sweetener 1 1/2 tsp coconut oil Strawberries with stems attached Melt in microwave in 10 second increments until melted. Dip strawberries into the chocolate and lay on waxed paper to harden. Enjoy! Click on pic to enlarge |
