Sweetener de jour?
Silly title, I know, but I'm wondering...
I've been away from low carbing for a while, and at the end of those days I had been using Splenda Quick Packs for my sweetener. Now I'm back and of course, they don't make those any more, and it seems that Splenda has fallen out of favor. So I'm wondering, what is the sweetener everyone is using in their recipes now? |

I still use my hoarded QP!
But I also use erythritol and stevia, specifically the NuNaturals NuStevia no carb blend, in the 3.5 ounce bottle. I really like that stuff. Welcome back, good to see you again! ![]() |

I use several. Depends on what I'm making.
For coffee, tea and cold drinks - liquid sucralose is my go to sweetener. For baking, I use erythritol or sometimes a mix of erythritol with liquid sucralose. For brown sugar I use Ideal brown that contains xylitol or LC brown sweet that contains monk fruit, stevia and sucralose. The new kid on the block for me is Tagatose. I think I will be replacing erythritol with tagatose for baking though. |

I had hoarded QP which I just ran out of. I mostly use the bagged Splenda and Erythritol. I"ve tried different Stevia types and didn't care for any of them. For brown sugar I put a little molasses in Splenda......................... Ann

Bummer, I thought maybe there would be a new wonderful product that everyone was using. I will have to get a big bag of Splenda at Costco next time I'm there. I still have some Erythritol. I looked at Tagatose, but it has that "laxative" warning on it, and I've found that any of those with a laxative warning do actually have a laxative effect on me. The NuNaturals NuStevia no carb blend looks interesting. I've never tried Stevia, so I'll add that to my Netrition order. Thanks everyone!
