Can't Do Eggs In The Morning, Need Eggless Breakfast Ideas, Please
I can NOT eat eggs in the morning because when I do I'm hungry all day long afterward (have proved it to myself a zillion times and every time it's the same results) so..............
I would LOVE breakfast recipes that do NOT include eggs. I went to the sticky called breakfast ideas instead of bacon and eggs and LOTS of the recipes in there contain eggs! Don't understand but.............Any recipes WITHOUT eggs are greatly appreciated! ![]() ![]() |

How does Cereal sound?
Toasted almond-coconut crunch cereal
This recipe does contain an egg, but the bulk of the recipe is almonds and coconut and flax. I fell in love with this stuff. The flavor possibilities are many, like maple, banana, strawberry. ![]() |

I love smoothies in the morning. A half can of coconut milk, some nut butter, a half cup or more of almond milk. sometimes a handful of frozen blueberries or raspberries, vanilla protein powder and a little liquid stevia. YUM!

How about
Thinly sliced ham, layer of cream cheese and roll.
Low carb buns toasted with almond butter Toasted grilled cheese sandwiches Peanut butter cookies Grilled sausages of all kinds Char's morning chocolate shake (very decadent) My onion/rye deli bread with anything you like on it. Protein/strawberry shakes. Hope that these ideas of ours helps you a bit. My Jay eats smoked salmon, cream cheese on a LC 'bagel' or bun or my deli bread. He uses lemon squeeze, black pepper and fine red onion. Smacks his lips every day and never even looks at my bacon and eggs.

I like yoghurt and cottage cheese. Or cottage cheese with HWC. Or perhaps berries with cream?

Way too much time on my hands!
|
last night's leftovers (if any)
I do not believe in breakfast food as opposed to lunch food or dinner food. Anything zero to low carb is perfect fodder. For example, I have eaten chinese food for breakfast (sometimes cold right out of the container). You are limited only by your imagination, and your appetite. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

As far as eggs not keeping you full, how many were you eating? I find that I need to eat about four of them cooked in at least a tablespoon or two of butter to fill me up. Two eggs are hardly worth the bother. |

I usually choose between one of these:
The one that keeps me the fullest is this one: Protein Shake 1 scoop Jay Robb chocolate whey protein powder 1 tablespoon PB2 1 teaspoon glucomannan 1 1/2 cup chocolate almond breeze 2 tablespoons sweetener lots of crushed ice - probably 1 1/2 tall glasses of ice Mix in VitaMix - this makes three tall glasses of protein shake. I sometimes sub SF jello powder for the PB2 if I want a fruit flavor. And I usually save the third glass for sometime in the evening. When I want something hot and comforting: Barbo's Big Batch Cereal 1 c golden flax meal 1 c coconut flour 1 c toasted and chopped pecans 1 c whole milk powder 1 c sweetener (Barbo used a splenda quick pack) 1 c vanilla whey protein powder 1/2 tsp salt Mix well and place in a container with a tight lid. Store in freezer or refrigerator. To prepare cereal: Place 1/2 cup (Barbo uses 1/3 cup) in a cereal bowl and pour hot water over it until you have the right consistency. When I need to grab something and run: I take a Quest bar - Peanut Butter Supreme - and cut it into 20 pieces, freeze them and store them in the freezer. They're kind of chewy, so it takes me at least 10-15 minutes to eat them, which is nice. And I sometimes go for a muffin with cream cheese. Quizoid's Fantastic Flour Mix makes a very filling muffin (I use 1/2 cup of the mix with 1/2 cup of liquid) for very few calories and carbs. Then I top it with a tablespoon of cream cheese thinned out with DaVinci syrup. Again, it's almost too filling so I save what I can't eat for sometime in the evening. |

I'm not really hungry first thing in the morning, but I force myself to eat a turkey pepperoni and cheese on my walk to work.
I frequently have rotisserie chicken for breakfast on the weekends if I don't feel like making lc pancakes. Like other's have posted, I typically eat eggs and bacon for dinner rather than brekkie. |
