A Julienne Peeler does a really good job and is easy to find and very inexpensive. These pictures are off a website I've been reading on the subject. I'm retired and on a fixed income so I have to be as frugal as I can and still get the job done.

I had a spirooli but it was a pain to clean and it's bulky.
People on here were talking about the GEFU Spiral Cutter. I got one and it's great, small, compact, makes good noodles. The only thing that I noticed as a small negative is you can't use all the veggie because you screw it down into a cone shaped cup with sharp cutters, so abut 2-3" of the end of the zucchini won't cut (my experience, I've only had it for a few uses so far). Other than that, it's really great because it's small and easy to use. It's not pictured, but there's a cap with spiked in it to hold the veggie as you screw it down into the cone.

I have the Gefu Spirelli and absolutely....but like Dottie said, you can't get the very last of say, a zucchini in there and end with all these weired looking pieces! But the thing is great and we use it multiple times per week! I'd try it, especially if it's on sale on Amazon as someone had mentioned. That's where I got mine...good luck!!!

Thanks for mentioning the Amazon sale - I had a promotional credit there, and it applied so I'm happy with the price! (I'm a Prime member and always happy to find something that will take advantage of my free shipping option). I have the big spirooli and love it but hate dragging it out when I just want to do one veggie. I have a julienne too...but being a total kitchen gadget nut, I just HAD to have the spirelli lol.
