subbing sugar free syrup for splenda
can anyone help me with swapping sugar free syrups for splenda in recipes? i'm trying to figure out the amount of sugar free vanilla syrup compared to measurable splenda. i know it won't work in all recipes, but i have experimented in a few recipes with somewhat good success.
i'm wanting to make cream cheese clouds with monin sugar free vanilla syrup. can anyone advise me? i guess i can taste as i make...would just like a good starting point. thanks so much!!! |

I use sf syrup 1 to 1 ratio. 1 cup of Splenda is the same as 1 cup of syrup. Actually, the syrup is supposed to be even sweeter. I think it's supposed to be 1 1/3 splenda equal to 1cup of syrup.

I read somewhere 1/4 cup syrup for 1 cup powdered splenda. But now I don't know.
For 1 cup of sugar; 1 cup of granular Splenda 2 T. Fiber fit 1 1/2 t. Trishz's 24 drops EZ Sweet 1 1/3 c. Erythritol 1 c. Diabetisweet 1 c Ideal 1/4 c. DaVinci SF syrup |

I don't know why I didn't see this.
I do this with my sister all the time, I have to change things for her. You can use a 1/4 cup of syrup but it might not incorparate well. I told her to use 2 T. Davinci syrup to 1 8oz. of cream cheese. And she says it worked great. That doesn't sound sweet enough for me. Try it out. |

I use 1 cup of Da Vinci/Torani to equal 1 cup of sugar/Splenda. It may not be an exact equivalent but it's close enough.

you are all soooo awesome!
thanks to you all for the great information i'm certainly going to keep track of all the different sweeteners and measurements everyone shared. i know it will be helpful, with the way i love the sweet stuff. i made the cream cheese clouds before i saw everyone's replies. i added 1/4 cup, didn't taste much sweet at all, so i added another 1/4 cup. i don't know if the brand of syrup makes a difference or not. i have a friend that owns a little coffee shop, so that's where my syrups come from. i haven't seen the brand on here before. it's monin sugar free vanilla that i have, and it's really good stuff! and the bottle says no carbs, but i'm figuring there have to be some. and as far as the cream cheese clouds? ohh emm gee....those things are heavenly! i'm going to have to very strict with myself and only eating one at a time. it would be so easy to get carried away! thanks again everyone, you've all been so helpful!! |

I'm surprised that you were able to add 1/2 cup of liquid to your clouds and not end up with soup. Did you have to freeze them? Without added liquid they remain firm in the fridge as well as in the freezer.

When you order from netrition you might want to invest into some EZsweet from Netrition. I bought some for my sister and she uses that with the syrups.
