OMG I just deep fried some green beans
I used the frozen ones and dumped them into my deep fryer. This can't be healthy since it is deep fried but OMG, they are so good!!
My deep fryer has a lid so there's no splatter when they hit the oil. |

By the way, what other low carb things would fry well in my fryer?

We do cauliflower and broccoli in ours. Have to try the green beans.

What kind of oil did you use, wouldn't they be healthy if it was just oil and greenbeans? I never deep fried anything, but they sound delicious! Maybe I should get a fryer!

I used Canola oil. I have to watch my calories and carbs so when I say healthy I mean probably not the best choice since it adds extra calories. Very good for a treat though!

I love deep fried green beans! I cook them till they are nealy back as they are crispier like that. Do the frozen beans get crunchy?

I'm assuming no breading? You just put them in the deep fryer? For how long? I bought 2 lbs. of fresh green beans today and am interesting in trying this!

they are also sensational roasted. just toss with a little olive oil and salt and roast till they start to get pretty brown and a little crisp. just one layer or they will steam not crisp, and toss them around occasionally. they are great. almost any oven temp seems to work fine. I put them in when I roast other things. works with either fresh or frozen, not canned.
