Splenda Brown Sugar Blend....
I am planning on making a short rib recipe I love this weekend that I typically use some brown sugar for. It's a tomato based sauce and I wondered if any of you know how that Splenda Brown Sugar would fare for something like ths?

Ideal brown sugar is good to use in baking. Netrition sells it, but I am not sure why it doesn't link in the posts.
Heartland Sweeteners Ideal brown sugar sub. That still won't link to netrition. ![]() Last edited by drjlocarb; 01-04-2013 at 05:43 AM.. |

I make my own using erythritol or xylitol and blackstrap molasses and add in liquid Splenda when using in a recipe. I have heard good things about Ideal brown sugar but it has maltodextrin and my stomach can't handle that stuff.
Ideal Ingredients: Xylitol, maltodextrin, molasses. Less than 0.3% sucralose for added sweetness. |

The Ideal is good but you can also make your own brown sugar sub-just Google. You add molasses to your sweetener such as Splenda.
