Yummy Easy Snack/Dessert
I just added 3/4 scoop Syntrax Nectar Vanilla Essence Whey Protein Powder to a container of Dannon Oikos Green NonFat Yogurt (Walmart for $1, but make sure it's the regular yogurt, not flavored, 80cal/6g carbs per container), plus 2 squirts of DaVinci's SF Cherry Syrup.
OMG it's soooo good. If anyone has ever had a cherry supreme pie, it taste just like this. This is going to be a staple snack. I bet it will keep me full for a bit as well. 155 calories, 6g carbs, 33g protein! Here's a picture so you can see the yogurt I'm talking about. ![]() Last edited by MsWoods; 11-05-2012 at 12:11 PM.. |

Adding crystal light is pretty awesome too. The cherry pomegranate tastes like cherry laffy taffy. The grape hawaiian punch tastes like grape laffy taffy. Peach tea tastes like peaches, no tea flavor. I got the idea from here so most people probably already know about it, but thought I would mention it anyway. My husband likes the sugar free mocha mix in his greek yogurt. We've also mixed in canned pumpkin and cinnamon before.
Lots of possibilities for flavoring plain yogurt! Last edited by FitnessJunkie1026; 11-06-2012 at 08:27 AM.. |

Ouizoid, yes I tried the tofu pudding, but I like these yogurt and It's hard for me to get enough calories in some days. I also need a pick me up that has some calories in it sometimes, otherwise I overeat. The tofu I have to blend but these yogurt I can grab, mix and eat. I'm still going to eat the tofu pudding, but I like this also.
Fitness-I do that as well. I just wanted to add some calories/depth to the yogurt so it would keep me full. Yogurt by itself tends to make me hungry and I was looking for a filling snack. |
