Green Bean Fries for supper!
I make them in the microwave much easier. I put the green beans in a plastic bag add some olive oil and salt, mix it all up then put them on a parchment lined plate and microwave for about 20 minutes. They come out nice crispy and crunchy.

I love that idea. I hadn't thought of cooking them in the nukker and they look great. oh yeah, my Mom still has those Corelle plates. Hey, I think they even sell similar ones at our Walmart. lol Anyway, great plates and great pics and thanks for the idea.

Oh great, I'll always be remembered as the corelle plate girl. LOL I got them at a thrift store a long time ago. They've become part of the family now. Hahaha
These make a great french fry sub. I can stick them in the microwave while I'm cooking other things and have a quick and easy side dish ready. Nice to be able to use the microwave now that it's getting to be warmer weather. |

Very interesting - I'd like to try this. Did you place them on the plate in a single layer to cook them - that's how I used to do it in the oven.

Yes, the more evenly distributed they are, the faster and better they will cook. I usually mix them around about halfway through to get them all cooked evenly.

Hey Corelle girl...lol...just kidding.
![]() I'm going shopping for green beans this weekend and I'm going to shake them up in some warm bacon grease just cause I love bacon grease on all my green beans. Did you use the corelle plate in the nukker? |

I have a reusable cookie sheet liner that I cut into a circle shape to use on my plates. But I think you can just put the green beans on the plate and it would work fine. Or you could use parchment paper if you have it.

I didn't cover them, and they didn't seem to splatter any oil inside the microwave. I don't put too much oil on them..maybe a tbsp or two. The green beans don't burst open while cooking or anything.
I'm glad you like my posts. I like sharing my pics with everyone. I know I like seeing other people posts with pics. Lately I have been doing a lot of baking but it's getting too warm for it and I'm also gong to start eating a lot less baked goods and more meats, cheese and veggies. |
