Shirataki Tofu Noodle Beef Lo Mein
This was my first time eating Shirataki Noodles and I don't know how anyone wouldn't like them. I think they are wonderful. I did read that they are better in Asian Food rather than Italian and I can see why that would be so I tried a version of my favorite asian dish.
Sorry in advance that there isn't proper measurement. I was just playing and didn't really measure anything. Low Carb Beef Lo Mein Beef Steak 2 Packs of Shirataki Tofu Spaghetti Noodles Large Handful of Julianne Carrots ¼ sliced green cabbage Soy Sauce Beef Flavored Cubes ( i powdered these in my Magic Bullet) Sesame Garlic Sause Minced Ginger Minced Garlic (McCormicks) Crushed Red Pepper (McCormicks) Cut up beef in thin slices removing all fat. Then Smashed it a bit with a meat tenderizer. Marinade beef in a mixutre of 2 Beef Flavored cubes, 3/4 cup of water, 1/8 cup Soy Sauce, Dash of Sesame Garlic Sauce, Dash of Minced Ginger for about 5 minutes Make sauce containing 3 beef flavored cubes ground up, 1 Cup water, vegetable oil and soy sauce for later use Rinse Rinse Rinse Shirataki Tofu Noodles and then drain and pop in microwave with no water for 2 minutes. Pull out and dry off good with Paper Towels Cook marinated beef in Vegetable Oil with 1 Tsp Minced Garlic and 1 tsp Crushed Red Pepper Rinse Rinse Rinse Shirataki Tofu Noodles and then drain and pop in microwave with no water for 2 minutes. Pull out and dry off with Paper Towels Remove Beef from Pan when done. Place cut cabbage and Julianned carrots in pan. Cook for a few minutes. Add sauce previously made and Noodles and cook on High stirring constanly for about 3 minutes. Add beef back in and cook additional 1 minute on hight. |

I think your recipe has real merit. Was surprised that you nuked the nudles for 2 min. Would have thought that they would be rubbery? Evidently not. Maybe you have hit upon something. Always wished that I could soften them up somethow. |

I actually read about the microwaving on another thread. I don't think it makes them more rubbery. I think it helps to get some of the liquid out of the noodles.
