need help before i blow it
I have been to the main lobby and no one there can give me a correct answer so i will ask you guys. Bought some ice cream bars sugar free at traders joe , they have 10 carrb and 6 sugar alcohols. Do you do the same like fiber with the sugar alcohols and subtract them from the total carb count leaving the ice cream bar with 4 carbs. They are delightful and I hope they arent 10 carbs a peice or I just blew it.

Yes! If you're doing Atkins, Dr. Atkins allows the deduction of sugar alcohol carbs to derive 'Net Atkins Carbs' ;-)

That is correct that you subtract the sugar alcohols, but be very careful to not over do it on them. I personally am very sensitive to the sugar alcohols. They caused a 6 month plateau for me and just recently cut them out completely and have lost 5 lbs in 1 1/2 weeks. You may not be sensitive to them, but if you quit losing, you may think about giving the sugar alcohols a rest.
