Wrap them up in tortillas and heat them up in a pan for a few minutes.
I nuke the hot dog then put some cheese on the tortilla, put the hot dog in there and wrap and heat. YUMMY!! |

Split lengthwise, put in a thin strip of whatever cheese you like, wrap with a thin strip of bacon in a spiral down the length of the dog, secure with toothpicks, and into a 400* oven til the bacon is done to your liking.
OR - cut crosswise into 1" chunks - make a sauce with some SF grape jelly or apricot jam and some SF ketchup, plunk in the dogs and heat through. Eat with a toothpick. You can put them in a crockpot and heat, or a fondue pot, or just in the MW. Do the same but with your fave LC BBQ sauce.

I like sauerkraut and hot dogs. I just slice them and put in a sauce pan with kraut and heat.
My family used to love that with mashed potatoes but now I have it with mashed cauliflower. |

Like Charski says with the cheese and bacon, but add a sliver of a banana pepper (the light yellow-green ones) for an extra pazzazz. YUM!

I copied this from a post I made a year or so ago. I still love this dish!
Weenie Thingie If I had seen this recipe I would never have tried it. Someone brought this dish to happy hour and it was gobbled up quicker than anything else offered. I have no idea what to call it (weenie fajitas, maybe?) but it's my new "go to" thing to keep in the refrigerator for when I don't have anything else prepared. I eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. Just as an aside - the people who brought this are billionaires! No wonder they're wealthy! I probably spent $20.00 on the dish that I brought! 1-pound package weiners 1/2 onion 1 bell pepper 2 tablespoons low-carb catsup Cut each weiner lengthwise into fourths and then cut each fourth into 1/3 inch slices. The point is to have small pieces with lots of surface area for browning. Put a little olive oil into a skillet and brown, brown brown these little babies until they have black edges and some of the surfaces are almost black. This doesn't take very long at all. Stir in about a tablespoon of low-carb catsup and stir fry this another couple of minutes. Remove, wipe out the skillet then add a little more oil and brown the onion and bell pepper strips until soft with burnt looking edges. This'll take a lot longer. You can do them at the same time as the weiners but in a separate skillet if you don't mind washing 2 pans. Add a tablespoon catsup and stir fry another minute or two. Mix with weiners and serve. |

Oooooo,,,, I wish I could find them on sale for $1. I'd sue stock up!!! IF my WM has them on sale, hope they still do by the time I get into town again, and to WM!!! I don't plan on going into town again till Sat or Sun.
I do the regular hot dogs with canned no bean chili (a bit carby, but I do it every so often). I lay down a bed of grated cheese (I use cheddar/jack, but what ever is you favorite), then put the heated dog on, and put the chili on that. i don't usually use any bread. Once in a great while I splurge & do a slice of lc bread, but not usually. I do the hot dogs & sauerkraut every so often. I think I'll try the cheese & bacon wrap one of these days. Haven't done that in ages. since high carb days, and that was a LONG time ago. A week or so ago, I tried LindaSue's coney dog pie. It was OK. I may or may not do that again, but it has gotten rave reviews on here. You might really ie that. I have odd tastes. It wasn't bad, and I ate it for a couple of meals. Just for me it either had something I wasn't super crazy about, or was lacking something. Wasn't sure what it was. But, it might be something I'd try again some day. There was a thread on here about it just a week or 2 ago. You might check that out. I might have to try Char's other recipe one of these days too. NOT with apricot jelly tho. Don't like appricot, so don't have that in the house. I might try it with some of the cranberry jam I've been making off & on. I always like the little sauced dogs, but never knew how to make them. Most of the OLD recipes I heard about had brown sugar in it. But I never actually heard a recipe.

I slice, then brown them a little, then scramble a couple of eggs with them and add a wedge of Laughing Cow Lite Garlic & Herb cheese. Yummy!

No recipes just agreeing with the great deal. I stocked up on them earlier on the year when they were on sale for $2.50 a pack and I had $1.00 off coupons.

For a really quick dinner I just split them down the middle and add slices of some good cheddar and nuke in the microwave until they are heated through and the cheese is melted ! Very low carb and delicious !

I pick on my husband because every time I mention making it, he goes 'meh...' but then I make it and he goes back for seconds and thirds. He says it just doesn't 'sound good'.
