Walmart Frozen Strip Steaks in a box

Have any of you tried the Frozen Strip Steaks in a box from Walmart? You can find them in the center freezer section near the frozen boxed hamburgers. I don't know the brand name. I think there is 6 or 8 steaks in the box for around $8-$9.......I was wondering if they are any good.

Honestly, they're nasty. The texture is awful and they just taste fake.

I had a feeling they were going to be. I guess it shows you get what you pay for.....but I do remember my brother buying frozen strip steaks at Aldi's and they were pretty good on the grill.....I have no Aldi's here.....

we bought 2 boxes, fed one to the dogs because they were nothing but grizzle and took the other one back.

Does it say on the box where they're from? Ever since I bought salmon there and then saw 'farm raised in China' on the package.........

If the box says anything like "finely carved" you have some nasty horse parts in there. Or something like that.

We called them "squirrel burgers". I'm usually very thrifty, but these went out in the trash.

Also the "injected with a xxx% solution" throws me off. They don't really say what they've injected it with, and you're paying for xx% water and not meat. In the end, they're not really a bargain at all.

I saw on the news months back.....in the year 2012 a hamburger will cost $50, and only the rich will be able to afford them......

Its way too early in the morning to post for me........it was predicted the year 2050 that a hamburger would cost $50, and only the rich will be able to afford them.

I know the beef prices are supposed to go up soon though....
