New Dukan Cookbooks released
3 new Dukan cookbooks were released on Amazon this past week. They are available only in the electronic Kindle edition, but even if you don't have a Kindle, you can download the free Kindle for PC software and read the books on your computer.
I do not own the 3 books below and cannot review them. Thanks to all who have provided info about previous cookbooks in this thread! -- The Dukan Protein Diet Salad Recipes Cookbook [Kindle Edition] by Marcel Martin, $4.99 -- The Dukan Super Lean All Protein Diet Recipes Cookbook [Kindle Edition] by Marcel Martin, $4.99 -- Discover All about The Dukan Diet Key Element - OAT BRAN With 51 Delicious Oat Bran Recipes [Kindle Edition] by Tracy Burkhart, $4.85 I do own the following Kindle book: -- The Dukan Protein Diet Slow Cooker Cookbook [Kindle Edition] by Marcel Martin, $4.99. I was disappointed after purchase to discover that this book has only 21 recipes, but I have used 4 so far and plan to use more. The recipes I have tried are pretty good, so 'cost per good recipe' is acceptable to me. Incidentally, for taking the recipe into the kitchen, you can do a 'print screen' and print the page from your computer. |

Hamburger/Sandwich Buns
Similar to the Revolution Roll - slightly more stable
4 Eggs – separated 1/4 tsp Cream of tartar 1 Tbsp Splenda 4 oz FF Cream Cheese 4 Tbsp Oat bran 2 tsp water 1 tsp White vinegar 1 tsp Onion powder 1 tsp Butter Buds Sprinkles - (I left this out.) Separate eggs. To the yolks add cream cheese, bran, water, vinegar, onion powder, and Butter Buds; mix together. To the egg whites add the cream of tartar and Splenda. Beat whites on high until stiff. Then with the same beaters, beat the egg yolk mixture until well blended. Pour yolk mix over whites and gently fold together. Spoon onto cookie sheet in piles of how big you want your buns to be. I use a Silpat on my sheets. Other wise use foil with oil spray. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. You can add any spices you'd like to make these sweet or savory. I tried to convert to metric, so I hope it's ok. Here's how it looks as a burger. |

I'm having these tomorrow. I have my 2 oldest grand daughters for dinner every tuesday. I'm making them burgers and fries. I'll have this turkey burger on a revolution roll with a salad on veggie on the side.

I made some meatballs tonight. Didn't turn out too bad.
1 egg 1/4 c. ricotta cheese 1 lb. ground beef italian seasoning Make into meatballs and bake. I did then in the convection toaster oven at 350 for 40 minutes. I'm making meatball subs for my family Wednesday so I wanted some of my own meatballs. Now tomorrow I need to make some homemade pasta sauce to put over them. Yummm!!! Dinner tonight: Beefy Veggie Chili 1 lb ground beef 1 lb ground turkey garlic onions red pepper mushrooms zucchini carrots 28 oz crushed tomatoes 1/4 c. chili powder a little bit of cilantro Now I love cheese on my chili, so I just mixed in some ff ricotta in my bowl. Pretty good!!

From what I've read you can have them on any day there are no veggies. I'm not sure about the butter buds that's why I left them out. I made 8 from the batter, but i piled them really high so I can cut the open like a roll. The picture which I did not post (because I dont know how) shows them flat. |

I've been marinating steak in soy sauce and Ideal brown sugar substitue. So good! Be aware of the sodium in the soy sauce though! I'm sure this would be good on chicken and fish too.

I've been following this thread with interest. Sounds like I need to try the Dukan Plan!
Question - is the Ideal sweetener available in regular grocery stores? Have any of you tried Bragg's Aminos? I really like the taste of it, and it's better for you than soy sauce, I think! |

I get the Ideal at 2 of my local grocers. Be wary of the Bragg's Aminos-it's MSG-they had to change their label a few years ago because of the controversy. |

I just looked on the Ideal Sweetener website. They sell it locally at Giant Eagle. Going to stop by tomorrow and see what I can find!
