Hodgson Mill Milled Flax Seed??
Is this what many of you mean when you say flax meal or flax flour or flax seeds??
Got it at Wal-Mart today. I haven’t opened it yet; just want to make sure it’s right before I do. |

I use that brand. Most of the time I get the ground flax seeds, but you can grind them up in a coffee grinder also.

I also use that brand. I found it really cheap in the flour section at my Super Walmart. Love those Flax Muffins.

I'm no expert, but that brand seems to be just like the more expensive brands that I have bought at the health food stores. I figured more people would respond to this thread. Don't feel bad, i get ignored all the time on here...we just can't take it personally.
In case no one has welcomed you. Welcome to the forum. There are lots of good ideas and recipes on here. Last edited by Nigel; 05-20-2011 at 10:35 AM.. |

However, I prefer the Golden flax seed meal because it has a milder taste. Bob's Red Mill and netrition carry it and also local health food stores.

I use Bob's Red Mill Golden Flax, never tried the brand you have. I always keep mine in the freezer. It doesn't actually freeze so you don't have to worry about thawing it out to use it. I've never had it go rancid.
