Just thought I'd share this idea ...
For Easter, I bought a Costco ham that had a packet of sugary "glazing" ingredients to cover the cooked ham. Now, I *love* glazed ham, but did NOT want the sugar that goes along with it.
So ... I took a bottle of Allspice out of my spice cupboard and mixed together: some Allspice and Sucralose (powdered
Splenda) and some water.
I applied this to my cooked ham (following the directions on the "sugary glaze" packet), covered the ham and re-heated it in the oven ...
The ham had a PERFECT sweet/spicey flavor ... and NO sugar !!!
It was wonderful ...
Yummy ham !
