DaVinci's syrups just arrived...what to make besides coffee?? Help!

The vanilla protein shake I use is from GNC. Its called Promasil. They have it in soft serve vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. It does taste like soft serve vanilla ice cream, but I like to add flavors to it just to have something different sometimes. I've used rasberry extract, and have blended in strawberries. My syrups have shipped so I cant wait to get those and add them in!

If you have a Smart & Final store near you, they sell 750ml Torani syrups for $4.99. (I live near Phoenix, AZ) Yesterday, if you bought over 6, they were $3.99. I couldn't make up my mind and ended up getting 7 bottles. I'm looking for a pumkin pie recipe using them. Any ideas??

Cash&Carry (Smart & Final's sister store) has Torani's for 3.97 through 7/1/12. These are West Coast stores.

How much syrup do you all put in protein shakes? Yesterday I just kind of poured it from the bottle and I think I used too mch. It tasted okay, but not great.

I usually use 1-2 Tbsp ... depending on what shake I'm having.

I've never tried the syrups but am curious to know if anyone has ever tried one of the flavors for making a meatball sauce? Would one work for that? I used to make sweet meatballs with grape jelly/brown sugar and can't replicate that taste yet. If so, what flavors do you think would work?

I don't know. But Linda has a recipe for pineapple meatballs using Davinci's pineapple syrup.

Thank you Soobee, I just checked out her page on all the syrups and she said the grape one works well in meatballs will have to try this!
The Pineapple would be good too!

I am on the east coast so not sure what stores you have, but Wal Mart has at least vanilla, and I have bought others from World Market (not sure if you have that there). The rest comes from Netrition. They have a large selection.

Not a syrup, but Grape Zevia soda has a wonderful grapey flavor. Netrition carries it...$4.95 for shipping no matter the weight.

Let me know what you find. And just an fyi, the manager of World Market in my area told me that some flavors they have all the time but some they rotate in and out. And what they get is at the mercy of what is sent to them, also seasonal, i.e., pumpkin in the fall, etc.

i found a few SF Torani syrups at Albertsons.. i got Chocolate but they also had vanilla, Carmel and another one i forgot but i like the chocolate

I just received my order of syrups from Netrition. I used a bit of German Chocolate Cake and Toasted Marshmallow in my lc hot cocoa that I make with cream. YUM.
I also made Asian meatballs and sweet and sour sauce in which I used about 2 teaspoons of the Pineapple syrup. Even my non LCing dh and dd like that. Dd doesn't care for pineapple and didn't even comment on there being pineapple flavor in the sauce. It was just enough without being overwhelming.
And, I made lemonade with the lemon syrup and additional lemon juice to add a bit of bite.
I ordered 8 flavors, so now I need to figure out what to use the other 4 in so that I have a reason to open the bottles.

In WA we have Cash & Carry same thing.

I use the SF coconut syrup along with coconut milk in curries. Sometimes they need more coconut and it works fabulously.

If anyone is having trouble locating the syrups, you may want to try a local coffee house or coffee roaster. I was in ours recently and they had at least 10 or so different flavors lined up for sale, I had never even thought to check a place like that for them.

I have a vanilla ice cream protein powder on the way and can't wait to try this with Dulce De Leche or Toasted Marshmellow.
