Last night I made a pecan treat and I do mean treat...
SO easy so good...About a cup Pecans ( you can use walnuts too) 2 Tbsp butter Cinnamon to taste 2 Tbsp Toasted Marshmallow DaVinci Syrup. Coat the nuts with mixture. Bake in the oven 350 for about ten minutes. Taste so good out of the oven with a cup of coffee. Makes me think I'm eating a cinnamon bun. The bad thing is, I ate half of the cup and DW ate the other half... ![]() I'm thinking of making another batch tonight but this time only half a cup ![]() |

Can someone tell me if the "holiday" flavors are around all year, or will they disappear until next season? (things like eggnog, etc.)

I believe they are available all year long. I've bought them "out of season". Particular retailers might not chose to stock them year round, but you can order them from Netrition or the maker year round.

Never looked on this thread but I am missing out! I have a boatload of different flavors and don't use them much. Here is a simple one I made up on my own, sort of similar to dogman's. I was going to use the almonds for coconut cookies but they seem to be disappearing little by little, ![]() I used a splash of chocolate and vanilla syrup to moisten roasted almonds (already roasted from Trader Joe's) and then sprinkled cocoa powder on them, mixed them well to coat. Spray pan with PAM. Baked at 375 for 10 minutes. Stir after 5. Let cool. Will be soft when they first come out and did not taste that great. Put into container with lid open to cool completely, then cover. Once they have cooled and are not soft, THEN they are really good! Could easily change the syrup flavors and spices around. |

I don't know where it was, but someone on a different thread mentioned that they used some purchased cocoa almonds in a recipe for coconut cookies. I asked about them and I thought I'm sure they have other stuff in them that was not good for me, like sugar perhaps. So it seemed easy enough and since I have never had the purchased cocoa almonds I don't have anything to compare these to. They still taste very good a week or more after making them. And I like the fact that you can eat just a few and they leave a very nice flavor in your mouth.

I love Starbucks' Coconut Cream Frappuccino but it's way too high in carbs, so I invented my own alternative. Unsweetened Silk soy milk (in the green carton), scoop of vanilla protein powder, couple pumps of DaVinci sugar free coconut syrup poured over shaved ice and blended altogether in a Magic Bullet. Of course, if coconut's not your thing, you could substitute any one of the dozens of flavors DaVinci has to offer.

So are you saying they sell that protein powder AND this huge list of sf syrups at KMart? |

I get the protein powder at Kmart but I have to order the DaVinci syrup online because they don't sell it in my immediate area. DaVinci has their own website and you can always order it there, but I get mine through Netrition because DaVinci doesn't take Discover and Netrition does. Here's the link:

I am reading sugarfreesheila's Atkins/Low carb dessert book I bought a while ago off of her website. I see lots of uses in baked goods, flavored cheesecakes, cookies, pies, protein shakes, etc.using Da Vinci syrups. In fact before I read this I went to order a bunch of new flavors but didn't go through with the order yet as kind of got carried away...so many delicious sounding flavors!

Just discovered this neat thread.
First for Dogman congrats on the great A1c test!!
I also rely on Dr. Bernstein for my diabetes. Have had the recipe book from him and also the "Big Book" Glad to have this thread for ideas about the syrups. I add the French Vanilla Torani when making my own creamer. It's delish without the chemicals and carbs. |

Not sure where I got this BUT. Mix 1cup heavy cream and 1cup SF syrup. Pour into Popsicle mold and freeze...the best creamsicle you ever had. I have used and loved: Monin Blackberry and Monin Strawberry so far.

Ladeeda, I tried your popsicle recipe yesterday with cream and Momim peach syrup. It was great. I like to let it thaw for a minute or two before I eat it. I got 5 popsicles out of half the recipe, so the calorie count isn't bad at all. DH loves them too.

I use this stuff in everything. Works well as a substitute in recipes for honey or agave nectar.

I'm slowly building my syrup supplies. I've got vanilla, raspberry and caramel right now. I'm wanting to get either coconut or cookie dough next!
