Cheesy Mushroom Baked Fish

1 lb of white fish fillets
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 T butter
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup sliced, fresh mushrooms
1/2 small onion, sliced thinly

In a small saucepan, warm heavy cream and butter. Once butter melts, stir in parmesan and mushrooms. Cook gently for about 5 min.

Lay fillets in bottom of glass oven proof dish sprayed with Pam. Cover with sliced onions. Pour over mushroom cream sauce.

Top with a little more grated parmesan, if desired.

Bake in preheated 375 oven for about 25-30 minutes until fish is done.

This sounds good, reminds me of a recipe I used to make called Fish Fromage except for the mushrooms but we love mushrooms so that a good addition.

I've got a lot of striped bass I need to thaw out and cook, I may try this with it.

Thanks
