Made it last night (with green beans/bacon/feta) and 3 out of 4 people agreed it was fabulous. (My son is such a picky eater, he didn't have any.) I had the leftovers today and it was even better. I will DEFINITELY make this one again!

I've had this a few times now and my favorite veggie to do with this is zucchini and summer squash strips. I just throw the strips in with it when I add the heavy cream and it cooks up perfectly. Just like having pasta with it!

So I made this for the second time tonight. The first time I made it exactly as written and loved it. My husband doesn't like "wet" chicken. So he's not too much into sauces so when I made it again tonight, I completely cooked the sauce down. It was still really great but I prefer the saucy version. My husband loved it and wants it to go in our monthly meal rotation.

I made the recipe on page 1 of this thread - FANTASTIC. Seriously good, I will be making this a LOT. I threw in some frozen green beans at the end, which broke the sauce, but I didn't care. Still tasted great!
Another winner! |

I finally made this ! Yummy !! I had it over zucinni noodles with butter and cauliflower rice with cream cheese mixed into it.
The sauce is great. Not spicy to me or DH at all. Loved it ! |

I made this for dinner last night! I had taken out 2 chicken breasts and I was cooking for 4, so I sliced them up. Added the whole stick of butter to the pan added the seasonings then the meat. After it finished cooking I added the cream and slowly heated - also a couple sprinkles of guar gum to thicken it quicker without cooking it down. I ate mine with summer squash and the kids and hubby had theirs with penne. Everyone loved it - this will be added to the routine for sure!! I think it will awesome with shrimp next!

I made this for the 2nd time last night. It is so darn good, it's hard to stop eating it!
I added 1/8 tsp. of xanthan gum to the sauce to thicken it up quickly, and that was just the right amount. I seriously almost licked the pan when I was putting the leftovers away. ![]() |

Thank you for the recipe. I halved everything so I could make just 2 breasts... and then accidentally used 1/2 cup of cream. DERF.
It tasted pretty good. ![]() |

Most of the time I sub out the dark meat for breasts in recipes. Why pay more for the breast, when I like the dark (especially thighs) better!!! Quote:

I'll bet it would be great. Go back to page 2 and see posts #35 & 45. One double the sauce for other uses and the other suggested on about anything including turkey.

I made it again for the 3rd time in about 2 weeks. I usually cut the chicken breasts in half so they'll cook faster, but I didn't this time, so I had a lot more burning. No matter, I just used a little chicken stock to deglaze the pan before I added the butter and cream.
With all the burnt bits, it made a really rich, delicious sauce. This recipe is very forgiving, and delicious!! |

This was a winner for us. My boyfriend licked his plate. And then he licked my plate. Then he threatened to lick the pan.

Made this today with chicken thighs. I was surprised how delicious this simple recipe turned out. DH has been at it already, although it's supposed to be for dinner. Two thumbs up.

When I made mine, I cut the chicken breasts up into large bite size chunks, and doubled the sauce, added a cup of chicken stock to it, and then cooked it down and thickened it with a pinch of xanthum gum, so that it was like a thin gravy and served it with a creamy cauliflower puree.
A day or 2 later, I had left overs amounting to about 1 breast and a cup of sauce and about 1/4 of cauli puree. I caught a bad cold, and decided to turn it into soup. I cut the chicken chunks down to smaller pieces. I boiled a 16 ounce bag of frozen cauliflower in a 32 ounce box of chicken broth until fork tender and then forked into small pieces, and added the chicken, sauce and puree and a half cup of hwc and whisked it. It made an AMAZING cream of chicken soup.

Soup sounds amazing!!
I made this tonight, I cut up 3 large chicken breasts then mixed the spices into the chicken, after the chicken was done I poured the cream over the chicken and mixed it all up then removed the chicken and cooked the sauce down, added the butter and served the chicken and sauce over zoodles. It was delicious, it's my daughter favorite meal!! Last edited by Ginaaaaaa; 09-05-2012 at 04:53 PM.. |
