chicken nuggets

I'm thinking of trying to make chicken nuggets with cubed pieces of chicken breast, using parmesan cheese as the coating. However, most of the recipes for this seem to require dipping the chicken in egg before coating them. Would this work by dipping them in butter instead of egg, or would the coating just fall off when frying them? I can't use the egg because I'm allergic.

You could use mayo or yogurt.

I dip in butter then in herbed parmesan....works great!

You would need to oven bake them though; if you try to fry, the coating will come off. I recommend lining the baking sheet with foil or parchment because the cheese makes a mess.

No mayo, it's also made with egg.
Anything else kinda sticky? that's a tough one.

Honestly, I've not used anything before and pressed the coating onto the chicken and had no problems with it sticking.

Hmmm, I wonder if dipping them in cream would work?

Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I'll try dipping in butter and oven baking them. It still gets crispy that way, right? At what temp and for how long?
