WOE: good question..
Easy chili with beans recipe?

i have been searching for a chili recipe that includes beans but i cant seem to find one-- i know i can probably just add the beans, but i dont know when to do so in the process to avoid making the beans over cooked or mushy( trust me i can screw up any recipe--i need it spelled out step by step:blush:
) im really wanting a slow cooker recipe, but i will be happy with any recipe at this point.

I Dottie's chili. You dont even need a slow cooker because it comes together so quickly.

1 pound ground beef
1 yellow onion – diced
1 can (14.5 ounce) cut diced tomatoes
1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
1 can (14 ounce) beef broth
1 cup water
11/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Optional: 1 can (15 ounce) black soy beans –drained.
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Sour Cream

Brown ground beef and onions, breaking up well. Drain well.

Add spices and continue to cook and blend well.

Add the remaining ingredients.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer for at least 30 minutes or until reduced slightly. I reduced it for an hour cuz I like it sorta thick

Serve hot with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream.

If you are using black soy beans, you can add them at the beginning. They don't ever seem to get mushy.

You can buy Eden's black soy beans at Whole Foods. They are hardly any carbs. I use them in all my bean recipes.
