Bought 2 huge boneless top sirloin steaks...
So how do I cook them?
They're about 1.5 inches thick and a foot long each. We don't own a grill, but I couldn't pass up the sale and would LOVE to have a great steak. I have been seriously missing out on all the possibilities of this amazing WOE. What do you guys suggest I do with these perfect looking steaks? |

I always throw my steaks into a hot skillet w/ some ghee and then put salt, pepper and garlic powder on them. Turn when they have a dark crust on the bottom and let it cook until done to your satisfaction. I like mine rare and don't let it cook too long or get too dark a crust on it. Ok, now I'm wanting a steak.

Season and broil for 7 min on each side. It comes out perfect every time! DH and I just had one for dinner last night along with buttered broccoli. So delish!

Thats why I like the broiler. Plus it works better for such a large steak like that. Just toss it on a sheet pan, heat up the broiler, throw it in and set the timer. Then flip, and set the timer again. Its done in 15min.

I like mine medium and I do a 1'' steak, for 8-10 minutes. I don't usually flip mine. Webber has a great burger seasoning that's great on steaks. |

So I'm about to make 'em! I'm thinking I'll pan-fry them in butter until just browned, and then stick them in the broiler for about 5 min on each side, maybe more.
