OMG! Google "Coquilles Saint Jacques"
Scallops in cream, butter with a bit of cheese ... like dying and going to heaven! Of course eating them baked, grilled, or pan-fried with butter and a splash of lemon is yummy too |

ha ha! I was being lazy and telling you to google it - it is a dish I have only eaten out at restaurants. I usually do not buy fish to cook at home ... here is one from Anthony Bourdain:
Coquilles St.-Jacques Recipe at Epicurious.com Some notes: 1. I have usually had it without mushrooms. 2. Please do read the reviews on the tabs on epicurious there are some good substitutions listed there. 3. I was going to tell you to make sure you get the water out of the scallops in case they are injected - otherwise your dish will end up watery ... and then I saw one of the reviewers addressed this issue. 4. You'd obviously replace the flour with another thickener on lc ... ThicknThin, Carbquick, Arrowroot, Xanthan .. something like those. 5. I'd google and see if I could find an easier recipe - with less ingredients - there should be some! 6. I'd come back in here and make sure to tell your buddies how it went and which recipe you used ![]() |
