Pumpkin milkshake recipe

Smoothie King has out their season pumpkin smoothie. It is awesome but it is made with icecream so I can't get it. Does anyone have a tried and true recipe that they can share? I was thinking of using Jay Robb protein, canned pumpkin, HWC, cinnamon, what other ingredients should I add? I have allspice here but have never tried it in anything. Anyone have a lowcarb pumpkin milkshake recipe to share?

I have them every day!

12 oz water in my mini blender
1 scoop Jay Robb Vanilla
2 tablespoons of pumpkin (canned)
Davinci Pumpkin Pie Flavor syrup OR Carmel
Cinnamon
Pumpkin Pie spice
11 ice cubes

SOMETIMES I add 1 tbsp of HWC - if I need to up the fat...if not, I don't

Whiz it up - pour in cup add straw - love it!

You can use any of these ingredients and increase/decrease or eliminate depending on what fits your nutrition plan.

Put some water & ice cubes in your blender & add

2 blocks of frozen pumpkin (ice cube size)
1/4 t pumpkin pie spice
1 t sugar free maple syrup or maple extract to taste
sweetener of choice
pinch of salt. (optional)

You can add a couple tablespoons of cream/half & half, or 1 oz cream cheese.

Last, add vanilla Jay Robb and blend. If it is not thick enough you can add a pinch of xanthan gum.

More recipes and shake-making tips here.

Yum! Thank you. I know I won't be able to get my hands on the syrup without ordering it. Maybe I can get away without it for now. I like that you don't use Heavy Whipping Cream, I think it may actually be a staller for me. Can't wait to try it later, thanks again!

Thanks Deb, this sounds good too. I am glad you put in the amount for the spice, I'd have thrown too much in I think. Maple extract I might be able to find in the grocery.

You can generally find the sugar free Vanilla, Chocolate or Hazelnut in grocery stores but the others you have to order. I just came from the store hoping to find the Maple but no luck, no Maple extract either, so I will be trying the shake without it for tonight.

I LOVE pumpkin shakes. Here's mine:

16oz unsweetened Almond Breeze
6 packets Truvia or sweetener of choice
1t cinnomon
1/2t nutmeg
1/4t cloves
1/2 -1 cup frozen pumpkin (frozen in an ice tray)
1 scoop Optimum Nutrition's Casein protein powder (really creamy and long lasting in terms of hunger)

Blend adding frozen pumpkin until desired consistancy. Makes a big one!

Jay Robb is just a brand name of a protein powder. I don't know the answers to your other questions because we don't have Jay Robb around here. Hopefully Karen, or someone else who uses it, will stop by and let you know.
