Help - Mardi Gras
I know its kind of early, but I've been invited to a Mardi Gras luncheon at work. The woman that invited me is so nice and is such a good cook. Everything she makes is amazing, I am in awe of her cooking! I want to take something that will knock their socks off! She is making a gumbo and red beans and rice. Does anyone have a recipe that will work? LC or not it doesn't matter, although LC would be nice.
TIA! |

Check the recipe room for Lisa's Jammin' Jambalaya. It is wonderful.
We also make Cajun wings at home every weekend. Just sprinkle chicken wings generously with Tony Chachere's and bake at 400-425 for about an hour and a half, turning halfway through, until crispy. They're simple, zero carbs, and good finger food. Maybe a cool, creamy dessert, like one of Beachgirl's cheesecakes, would be a nice ending to a spicy meal?? You could top it with berries or splenda-sweetened cherry pie filling (Lucky Leaf brand) or make the mocha or blueberry one. Look through the "sticky" threads at the top of this BB. Those will have LOTS of recipe ideas. |
