Kathy Mitchell has an updated version of her

Express 101 machine. any thoughts on this one? they always look good in the infomercial. It looks like a good thing for making 1 or 2 portions during the week. Frankly, I hate cooking in the warm weather. I can use that thing all the time between May and October. They kill you on the S& H however. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

I bought one last month, the Redi Set Go. I'm starting to use it more. I like the omlets in it and have been cooking a rib eye in it, instead of heating up the grill. I think they come out great and my hubby thought it was pretty good too. I just s&p and let one side brown for a min. and then shut is and cook 5-6 min. Quick and easy. I also use the Joesphs flat bread or pitas, butter one side and stuff with meat and cheese, roll them up and cook for a few minutes. I am going to try some crab stuffed mushooms soon in it. The clean up is easy too.

Just for the machine and shipping was around $56-57. But I received some cookbooks with it and my total was around $71.00. I thought the shipping sounded high, but ordered it any way. Just don't click any buttons to accept anything free, that's how I got the books, it was some kind of club, and I couldn't get it off my order. I did cancel the club later. I really like the cooker, but need to think of more low carb things to cook in it. The cookbooks mainly contain high carb ideas. I made a pizza in it with the pitas and it was very good.

I have the original version with the 2 divided sides, the GT Express I believe it's called.... I got it at Target in the section where they sell the "as seen on TV" stuff. I really like mine, but the new version looks even better - they don't have that one at my Target strore though, if they did, I would buy it - I'm such a sucker for those infomercials! I want the NuWave oven or FlavorWave oven too

Oh, I'm so mad now! After years of watching the commercials for the GT Xpress I finally broke down and ordered one. Ended up paying something like $70 (They make you get the second free machine and pay additional shipping.) Of course then I ended up seeing in in Target like a month later! I could have saved like $35 since I didn't need 2 machines! Man, now I wish I would have waited longer, I would have gotten this new one. The Xpress makes good omelettes. The two wells together hold about 2-3 eggs so it makes cute little mini omelettes.

weapons of MOUTH destruction....

it seems like a good way to practice portion control, a personal war which shows no definite signs of victory. I think i will wind up getting one before the summer is over. FF

I got mine a couple weeks ago and I love it. (However, I wasn't necessarily making lc foods at first. ) Now I'm looking for some good lc recipes to make in it. I have the original Xpress 101 which came with a low carb cook book, so will look at that again. The new one has a couple lc recipes, but not many. I bought the new one because I wanted all the different pans and recipes. I joined both the pan club and the recipe club. I never do anything part way. I always go whole hog.

So, does anybody have any new recipes to share?
