Sugar Free Sherbet?
Does anyone know if Sugar Free Sherbet exists? I know it's primary ingredients are sugar and water, and since Google and I haven't had any luck, I'm guessing there's not such thing (as a manufactured product - I gave up my ice cream maker a few years ago). Figured it couldn't hurt to ask!

I don't think you need an ice cream maker to make sherbet (or sorbets). It's mostly fruit/fruit juice, sweetener and liquid. Freeze in a pan and stir frequently to keep ice particles small.

I made something similar to sorbet today for the kids.
I just froze some strawberries and peaches with honey. Then I blended in the magic bullet. Simple and delicious. They all loved it. I only had about 1/2 tablespoon to taste. Pretty good. ETA: Forgot to add that I also used some homemade SF lemonade. Just a tad. |
