Oat Bran Flour and Oat Flour?

I want to make some of the "flour" mixes in Jennifer Eloff's cookbooks, but I could only find Oat Bran Flour. I'm wondering if that is the same as the Oat Flour she uses. The Oat Bran Flour is by Hodges Mill (I think that is the name).

You can make oat flour by grinding up regualar oatmeal. I'm pretty sure that oat bran is different, due to the bran included.

You can find Oat Flour in Kroger, in the health food section. Look for Bob's Red Mill. If you're near Dayton, you can also get it at Health Foods Unlimited.

Thanks, I'll try to look for it at my local Kroger.

I just found a low carb tortilla made of Oat fiber and Whole Wheat Flour and Soy flour. It has 11g of carbs - 7g dietary fiber= 4 g of net carbs. It only has 60 cal each, no sugar. It's marketed as a Low Carb alternative to flour tortillas.

Do you guys think this is safe to eat for OWL?

I do. I know many people use it with no ill effects. The only way to be sure is to try them and see how they affect your body. Everyone is different. I do better without any grains, but they may give you no trouble at all.
