Way too much time on my hands!
|
bacon question....
I bought 1 lb of bacon cured w/o sugar (i forgot what brand, i was so impressed that it was w/o sugar-also the price. also i have never bought bacon before. i always get it restaurants as part a of a bacon cheeseburger, or woth eggs or omelets etc ). if i thaw out the whole pack in the micro-wave, can i store the unused portion in the fridge??? I don't want to cook the whole thing, just a few strips at a time. Right now, it is in the freezer. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI

You can keep it either place. It keeps for a while in the fridge, but I usually cut the package in half and freeze part of it.

Fry the whole pkg.up, either in the oven at 375* or on top of the stove and put the slices in a freezer bag. That way all you have to done is zap it in the microwave when you need it. I fry 2ibs. at a time.
