Yummy, I just made the strawberry cheesecake shake, which is the first shake listed (without egg). It's delicious! I wasn't sure about the sour cream in it, but it tastes fantastic. 10 oz of water was a little too much for my magic bullet with the other ingredients so I cut the water back a bit. Thank you!!

Yes, I did, but you can use any sweetener in any amount that you like. Some may like theirs a bit sweeter or less sweet than others.

TO ANYONE...

Where can I purchase Thicken Thin Not/Sugar or Not/Starch?

Or, where in the store/grocery store can this be found?

Is this a drug store item?

Thanks much,

Nikki

I bought mine from Netrition. Other than that...I don't know.

You can get it from Netrition, amongst other online sources, as well as directly from the company, Expert Foods.

WAY back when the "LC Craze" hit and there were actual stores catering to LC, I could find it - but I've never seen it locally since then.

It seems expensive, but a little goes a long way and to me it's well worth it.

If you can't find it, you can try xanthan and/or guar gums, which are generally available more readily - Bob's Red Mill packages both, and I've seen them also at Whole Foods. I haven't had as good success with those separately as with the TTN/S but perhaps if you mixed them together they might work as well?

I have been cutting calories and have really been worried about nutrition. I decided to start using the Myoplex low carb shakes so I could be certain of the nutrition I was getting.

I know I could just as easily take a vitamin but I really enjoy my morning shake...it fills me up and helps me cut my carbs.

I use:
18 ounces of water
1 level tablespoon instant coffee
2 ounces of cream
1/4 teaspoon Splenda Quick Pack
1 packet Myoplex low carb vanilla
enough ice to bring the liquid level up to 32 ounces

Blend well....it's really yummy and tastes like a frappahino.

Maybe not essential, but that's a fabulous tip! It really gives it that something extra that makes it taste very similar to a Wendy's Frosty. (Not that I can remember what those taste like LOL).

I ordered extra NotStarch on my last netrition order.

Orange Delight Shake

6oz vanilla almond milk(unsweetened)
4oz ice cold water
1-2 scoops vanilla protein powder of your choice
1 packet crystal light sunrise orange - individual serving packet
1 large egg (optional for additional protein)

Add liquids, then egg if using, then powders. Cover and shake the dickens out of it.
This makes a big shake. Use 2 scoops and increase the liquids each by 2oz for 2 shakes.
