Substitute for DaVinci SF Syrup
Hi,
I am new but have been lurking for awhile and i have a question. I recently found out that Splenda gives me major headaches and I was wondering if anyone knows of another type of SF syrup that doesnt contain Splenda. I dont want to give up all the recipes that call for it. Thanks, Denise |

You're going to have to experiment with different sweeteners until you find something that works. If you miss the flavors, you can get essential oils and extracts, and then add them to your sweetened goods.

I truly can't think of a single one. Even Monin (which I knew uses erythritol) has sucralose in it.

There are syrups made with apartame, but I wouldn't recommend them... especially not cooking/baking with them.
You can make your own syrups - I think scott123 had a polyd recipe, you could just sub sweetners... I think maybe someone had an erythritol syrup recipe here, too, and I think locarbman posted recipes for making stevia sweetened syrups waaaay back when... bet you can find them with a search. |
