I still haven't gotten around to making this great-sounding quiche.
Read the recipe again and laughed at this line: "I adapted a recipe I found on Allrecipes.com called Chicken Spinach Quiche, but by the time I got done with it - it bears little resemblance to the original!" That's my friend, Char! She could give Tweaker Geek a run for her money!! ![]() |

Seriously, this is to die for. I used ham instead of turkey, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly as written. I even found the Idiazabal cheese (love it) and used a serrano pepper for the first time. Great recipe Char. Thanks.

Yum! This quiche was the best! Unlike some of you, I love quiche, but haven't found one that I have liked to make at home....until now. Wow. I think the mayo is the secret ingredient. It tasted like a Marie Callendar's quiche. I substituted two cups of broccoli, five pieces of bacon, green onions, and gruyere cheese. They have a new shredded gruyere and swiss at TJ's. They also have a smoked gouda mixture I used for the base. This will become a staple in our house. I can see its easy to use Char's recipe as a base, and just use what you have in the fridge. Thanks so much!

I love quiche but DH really doesn't care for it much (unless it has a lot of bacon and cheese). I'll have to give this a try soon, sounds like a great version for non quiche lovers. Thanks Char!

My DH professes to not like quiche either, Angie, but he loves this one. Like I said upthread way earlier - bake it in a square pan and call it something else, like "Cheesy Bacon Bake" or some such!

A can of drained, diced Ortegas never hurt anything either - just sayin'!

DH loves every kind of pepper, a can of green chilies would certainly be right up his alley. Cheesy Bacon Chili Bake - getting better all the time!

Chantyl, you won't mess it up - use what you have! Parmesan, dry aged Jack, Swiss - it will all taste good!
I think you DO want something with some flavor though, not something like shredded mozzarella. JMHO! |

That would work too, in fact I think I used the Trader Joe's Italian preshredded blend in it one time and it was fine.
Don't be skeert, girlfriend, it will be delicious! ![]() |

Specialty's
Gary, how do these compare to Specialy's mini quiches. I have been searching HIGH AND LOW for a recipe that compares! Yummy stuff!
