Don't flame me for this, but I think it would be really nice of you SBers to post carb and calorie counts (if not full nutritional profile) so the rest of us LCers could decide if we can eat a recipe or not, depending on where we are on the Carb Ladder...

Just a thought; we're all here to share.

SBD'ers don't necessarily have the carb counts and nutritional info-you don't count those things on SBD. The emphasis is picking healthy SBD friendly foods. So I think if someone wants the nutritional info plug the recipe into Fitday or Mastercook, IMHO.

That's a good idea. I don't always have the time to do so unfortunately, but I'll try.

I DO try to include South Beach Friendly in the title of my posts to avoid any confusion.

Of course, Lisa, I'm aware of the basic principles of SB, including the carb restriction in the first two weeks, etc., which is pretty much what has SBers participating on this LC board, no? I'm aware of the tools available too

My thought (and my question) was that some SBers might be interested enough -- for their own reasons -- to actually be checking for calories and such, and if so, posting/sharing the info would be grand.

I do thank you for your input, though.

My head is on auto-calorie calculate...ALWAYS

Yeah - you have some good points Jude. I'll try to do that when I can. It's just soooooo time consuming to log in info for every ingredient into fitday (especially when it's a "new add"). When you have 3 kids pulling at you left and right - well...ya know

One of the reasons alot of us have chosen SB is that we don't have to count. If someone was interested in doing a nutritional breakdown, there are plenty of programs that do that for you if you input the info!

I'm not sure why you think a SB Sticky is going to be any less slow here. I also am not sure why you think the admins should make a sticky from a non existant thread. Look at any sticky here, it was a thread started by a person and then made a sticky when it was displayed active enough or requested by enough people that it should be.

Why don't one of you that would like to see that SB sticky, organize and post the thread so that the admins can see just how popular it becomes? Even Radmom said the Bean Cake thread was an existing thread.

Radmom, its your SB recipe that you want to post on a Diverse LC Site. If your not here to help all LC'ers then why not post it where people are only SB. I don't follow any set LC plan and I have never told anybody sorry I can't be bothered cause your not doing the same plan as me! Use a program and do it yourself! Sorry I think that attitude is rude.

Keivin - I am sorry if you interpreted this as being rude - it wasn't intended to be rude. Too many people misinterpret the written word!!!

We as SBers get all kinds of questions like this; sorry, but we don't count carbs, calories, go into ketosis. I am here to help South Beachers and have been quite successful doing so while advising, guiding and learning myself. And I was not the one that requested my recipe a recipe sticky. I just said it was a good idea. And also we do have our own sticky on the South Beach Thread......

Hi Kevin. Sorry for the confusion We're all here to support one another on their WL plan. Yes, the written word often IS misunderstood.

Cindy: We're cleared! We'll soon have a SB thread I'll send you a PM

I'm trying to make peace here and you have clearly already read what I've posted.

In the SB book - there is not a carb count on every recipe. You just eat and enjoy. We know what foods are allowed and in what amount.

As a SBer - I don't ask you all to tweak YOUR recipes (or include certain info) to fit MY needs. I do that myself.

lol, Peace? I didn't know we were fighting. I was only trying to clear up this misunderstanding you SB'ers say I have. As I see it I didn't misunderstand anything. I will be real curious to see if your new sticky is any faster then the other one.

OK - let's start over here...

1) I didn't say YOU had a misunderstanding. I made a generalization. It was NOT directed at YOU.

2) When I said I was trying to make "peace". I meant that in a kind way. You don't know me very well..and I don't know you very well...so maybe there really IS a misunderstanding here

3) I'm really excited to have a SB sticky here on the recipe board. I also think it WILL have more traffic since there are usually 120 or so viewers at any given time, compared to maybe 3 on the SB thread.

4) You're a cook to inspire us all. I hope you can contribute to the growth of the SB thread

Regards!

As I've said on other threads when posters pop in to give their two cents where it's not really needed-
Wow.
SO many threads turn out and therefore, end, this way!!! In people arguing. Sad.

*on a happier note, I see that we have a thread! *
