Dana Carpenter's recipe recommendations

I just got both of her low carb cookbooks and I'm wondering what recipes are your favorites? With 1,000 recipes to choose from, I'm a little overwhelmed!

There are several of the recipes I like, and she's got some neat variations on the basics (several types of deviled eggs, for example).

I love the heroin wings. I also use the coating for pork chops and other types of chicken, not just the wings.

These are from her original 500 Low-Carb Recipes and these are my favorites that I keep the pages marked for easy access!

Sunflower Cheddar Crackers
Sauteed Sesame Chicken Breasts (this is sooooo good!)
Oatmeal Cookies (but be careful they are 3 carbs each and too good)
Pumpkin Pie with Pecan Praline Crust (I make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas)

Thanks Starwing! I have both the original and the More low-carb cookbooks. I will check these out! The sesame chicken breast recipe looks good!

Oh holy moly, how could I have forgotten my favorite!

Spinach/aritchoke dip. It is seriously yummy!

I am asked to make this each and every family gathering. I love, love, love it.

And look on Cleochatra's blog for a great flax cracker that will be superb with the dip!

Today I'm making the shrimp and andouille sausage over cauliflower rice! I've already riced the cauliflower and cut the veggies. I will report back later how it is!

I should have checked the spelling of her name when I posted it. Anyway, thanks for your recommendations! I just cut the cauliflower for the "rice". I'm anxious to try it!

This recipe was absolutely fabulous! I highly recommend it! DH raved about it over and over. I used fire-roasted tomatoes with garlic and onion and ommited the salt, tobasco sauce and pepper because the sausage was very spicy. I will definitely be making this again soon! Try it! It is delicous and doesn't taste low-carb at all!

Those chicken things! I forgot about those chicken things! We love those too -- but then, who couldn't love something lovingly wrapped in bacon?

I recently started drinking something I call James Ray's Breakfast Shake - it's a little different and doesn't fit EVERY diet, but I think it's worth mentioning. (I read about it in “Harmonic Wealth” by James Ray. There is actually a whole section on the physical body and he offers up some great ideas that have worked for me.)

Blend together a handful of bok choy, a handful of napa or Chinese cabbage, one large carrot, as many berries (fresh or frozen - James likes blueberries and raspberries) as you like, and a full glass of water (12 to 16 oz.) You can also mix in protein powder or supplements.
Enjoy!

I really like her "Perfect Protein Pancakes"... made w/ ricotta, whey protein powder (I use vanilla), eggs, baking powder and salt. I had them this a.m. with some Irish butter and homemade apricot jam. OMG yummy!

Make sure you make them "silver dollar" size - they are quite fragile and tough to flip. Smaller is better!
