I just bought my pan at our cake store, but it was the one that made 6 little bundt cakes.
I also gave the lady our Strawberry Oopsie Cake recipe cuz she is gluten intolerant...

Dying to try the donuts this afternoon...

The crullers were out of this world, but my stinking $17 pan made them stick..
grrrrr...Next time I am going to take a paper towel and some coconut oil and coat each little "cake".. I sprayed, but not well enough, evidently. I didn't have a non-stick pan.

Thank you! Your post made my day. I am so glad that more than just my family might enjoy these. As long as my kids like them, I'm happy. When others like them, I feel I've done something positive for someone else.

Sam: No..the strawberry oopsie cake (and its many variations) is not induction friendly unless you leave the strawberries out and just use the SF strawberry gelatin cake with whipped cream on top.

My pans are new and I let them cool slightly and they tend to shrink away from the sides. Once there is shrinkage, I remove.

I need to go out and get a couple of the little angel food pans soonish... I have 4 mini-loaf pans (about 5-1/2" long) that would be great for making sub roll size oopsies, and that'd give me something to make with that extra bit of oopsie batter when I make those.

Cool pan!! Carolyn, do you think your pan would give the same results as the doughnut pan I posted several posts back? (not the canoe pans). I am a pan collector and just might HAVE to get the one you have. I guess the doughnut pan might give a more rounded appearance? Can you post a pic of one you made in the pan next time you make some?

Sun: I am bad with pics..but I got 4 tallish donuts out of this. They were about half way up on the pan..I think they would be taller than your roundish donuts. You can get 6 out of that pan, but I could only get 4 out of this one. Of course, I could put less in each angel food section. They were about 1 1/2 high..

I need to buy a canoe pan cuz I want to make napoleons...

I have pan envy. I the donut and angel food pans.

Wish me luck-I'm spending some time in the kitchen tonight armed with my Pam spray and mixer!

You could use sugar-free jam or dust them with Splenda (and they look VERY pretty!). Or, depending on the plan he's following, you could use a dollop of sugar-free pudding in the center, or whipped cream and fresh (or thawed, frozen) fruit.

Oh my yummmmmmmmm!!!!!!! Cleo I always look forward to trying out your recipes. Thank you so much. My crullers turned out great. I used the Pam baking spray and put some with chocolate and some with the Splenda dusting and butter. The portion control has not been a problem as the kids have claimed the rest for their own. Thanks so much again.
