I Tweaked This Tonight and it was FABULOUS!
Okay, folks....Here is another variation of
Nancy's Low Carb Pizza! (tweaked for those that want a chewier crust) 4 Large Eggs 3 Cups Shredded Mozzerella 1 Cup Shredded Cheddar/Jack Combo 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder 1/4 tsp Basil Mix all this in a bowl until all the cheese is coated with egg. The extra egg makes a traditional crust. Your cheese egg combo will feel wet, but just pat, pat, pat it out onto your pam sprayed pan. Bake at 450 for 10-15 minutes Here is a picture before baking ![]() Once it is baked it will look like this ![]() Now, add your toppings I used 1/4 cup marinara sauce 1 cup shredded mozzarella 1/4 cup shredded cheddar/jack 12 Italian Meatballs sliced into quarters 1 onion sautéed Top the pizza and run it under the broiler at 500 until cheese is melted. Here's what my finished pizza looked like! ~~~~~ I know you're drooling! ![]() This yields a slightly thicker, chewy crust with crispy edges. It makes a huge 16 inch pizza. It yields 12 to 16 slices with a very low carb count depending on toppings. ![]() If you like a classic, chewy crust, this one is for YOU! Is this what we call food porn? ![]() Enjoy with a side salad or some yummy broccoli! ![]() DINNER IS SERVED! ![]() Hope you will try it, especially if you low carb, or avoid gluten. No flour of any kind in this yummy pizza!

Hi it's me Barbo. Will you stilll love me as I'm only 4'10-"
![]() Hubs wants Pizza NOW so I am making your crust tomorrow. I am filling it with Char's cream cheese and lox toppings, with black olives and stuff. I will report as I promised when I first saw your crust. I just thought you should know that at one time I was at my full height of 5' 1" and I am furious that I lost 3 inches. That means I have to be 15 lbs. thinner. BUMMER. ![]() |

LOL Barbo!! Dang 3" huh? Gotta get you some stilettos!
Nancy, I had some fun doing some tweakage again to your recipe and came up with this: Cheesebread Rounds - takeoff on NancyElle's crispy pizza crust - with pics! YUM! DH is so happy! he says it reminds him somewhat of the corncakes his mother used to make, which he'd sneak and make a sandwich! Thanks again for this great and adaptable recipe. |

It was the BEST low carb pizza I have tasted and I have been on low carb for 7 years and tried several recipes so far. I could actually PICK this pizza to eat it. Delicious.
I nuked the crust first in my mircowave for 4 min, let it cool and then went ahead with the pizza when I was ready for it. Delicious. Thanks |

I made an individual pizza with this recipe, just cutting everything by fourths, and I also agree that this is the best low carb pizza crust I've tried to date. I could pick it up, it was soft and delicious. Thank you so much for this recipe.

I just made this...very very good!! Just like thin crust, and mine came out crispy too. I think if you can flip it and the pan makes all the difference. However I do have a question.....I did not put any sauce on mine, just extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic and mozzarella cheese, taste like cheese sticks from Pizza Hut......I want to try it w/ the sauce, the only reason I did not was..I have no clue what kind of LOW CARB sauce to buy....suggestions??

So glad you tried the pizza! I'm so happy to here when someone loves it! ![]() About the sauce~ You only need a little bit. A fourth of a cup or less. Ragu Traditional has only 5 carbs for a fourth of a cup. It may have ingredients you don't want so here is a recipe from Linda Sue. The carb count is about the same. Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes AMY'S MARINARA SAUCE 8 ounce can tomato sauce 1/2 cup water 2 tablespoons tomato paste 2 teaspoons granular Splenda or equivalent liquid Splenda 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, or to taste Bring all of the ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 1 hour. Makes about 1 cup Can be frozen Per 1/4 cup: 22 Calories; trace Fat; 1g Protein; 5g Carbohydrate; 1g Dietary Fiber; 4g Net Carbs Per Batch: 86 Calories; trace Fat; 3g Protein; 19g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 16g Net Carbs Hope this helps! ![]() |

Hi there-- I just made this--
OUTSTANDING! One thing-- we have crappy baking pans at my house-- would lining the pan with baker's parchment make removal of the pizza easier? Last edited by Erica L. Butler : 05-02-2008 at 02:00 PM. Reason: question.. |

Erica,
Yes, parchment will help, or good old non stick foil. I bought a pizza pan when I realized how often I would be making this! I'm happy you enjoyed it! |

The pizza sauce from Wal-Mart (Great Value) is only 4 carbs per serving. I use this!

My house-mates are begging me to do it again. The pizza lasted all of 20 minutes. I'm looking for silicone baking mats-- that may help. Thanks so much for this recipe. I'm doing a seafood variation this week. I'll let you know how it turns out. (Calamari, Shrimp and scallops with an Alfredo sauce, with onions, garlic and Parmesan) ![]() Tonight-- vegetarian Mexican Pizza, and Meat Lover's Pizza. (I have an Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian House-Mate.)
