Byrd Mill PEANUT FLOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGGGG

SaraJewel THANK YOU for recommending this in the PB2 thread!

I got my order yday. Just now I took some full fat chocolate yogurt, added 1 scoop Jay Robb chocolate protein powder, 2tb flaxmeal and 2 tb of the 12% dark peanut flour.

OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWD. This stuff is SO SO SO SO GOOD. 1/4 cup (4 tb) = 100 calories and 4 net carbs. Peanut butter is 100 cal PER TB!

This stuff is SOOOO good. I am in LOVE. Peanut butter lovers, TRY IT. I can seee this in flax muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, protein shakes, coconut bark, 3 minute chocolate cake.. you name it.

Tastes 1000000% like peanut butter.

THANK YOU SARAJEWEL. You are right I did NOT regret it! Glad I got 3 containers of it!

It will be near me for a month as I am relocating back to St Louis!!

I wonder what the difference is between the 12% and 28% and the dark and light versions? Is it just a taste diffrence or are the net carbs amount affected?

I was looking at the site, and the flours all say they are low fat. How does that affect the flavor? Most low fat items are loaded with sugar to make them more palatable. Not sure I would get it, cause I just don't do much cooking/baking experiments.

From the description, it sounds like it only effects the flavor.........the 12% is nearly flavorless.

Flavorless is the LAST THING the 12% is. So far I've only tried the 12% dark. JEEZAREEE! Good.

way cool Alliecat!! I am definitely getting the 12%!!!! I think I could also sub it inot the protein bar recipe I'm going to make ... the recipe called for 2T of pb ... so I'd just sub in the whole 1/4 cup of pb flour. I was thinking 2T of regular pb was a very small amount for a whole recipe of these bars ... I want PEANUT FLAVOR!!!!!

I have a feeling I am going to be a very happy camper!!! Especially since I won;t have to keep regular pb in my house which is just dangerous for me. I am thinking I'll probably have better control with the pb flour.

Thanks for the thread!

Pauline I really think you will like it. I just used THREE tb in my protein yogurt just now... 75 calories and SOOOO RICH and creamy. I even tasted some directly off the spoon, dry powder and the taste was good IMO. Uh, once it got mixed with my mouth juices it tasted just like real PB. Sorry so gross but true.

I only ate 125 cals worth total (between my 1st and 2nd meals), and had 5 tb!

Ooohh, thanks Allie! I have their site up now and will order some soon-I saved it as a favorite . Like Pauline, I won't keep peanut butter in the house because I have no control. Maybe when I get to maintenance I can, but for now..it's not a good idea for me.

I'm so glad you like it.

I know they advertise it as low fat but it is also high in protein. It is peanuts that have had the oil pressed out and then ground. that's it. I like both versions. To me the 12% is closer in taste to peanut butter and the 28% is closer to the taste of roast peanuts I had at the track as a child. As I said in the other thread, I really like this stuff, but I don't seem to have the portion control issues with this that i have with peanut butter. A little bit of this goes a long way and it's very versatile.

Enjoy people!

Bump. This stuff is THE BOMBB in yogurt! Hadn't tried in a flax muffin yet. But my yogurt is so thick with the protein powder and peanut flour! Filling too. I eat 3 tb of the peanut flour in my protein yogurt every evening. 75 cals for it, not bad!

Byrd Mill rocks. It ranks up in the top 5 of foods that I now love but never knew existed pre LC. I'm curious to hear more reviews. I'm sure at least some of you ordered it based on Allie's review.

I am glad I ordered it also. It is awesome in yogurt. I have also been adding it to my protein ice cream (just a protein shake made VERY thick - love eating it instead of drinking it). I am thinking it would make a great peanut sauce for chicken or for a cabbage slaw.

Right now I am eating 1 Tbsp peanut flour, 1 Tbsp coconut oil, 2 Tbsp flax, dash of cinnamon and 1 pump of SF caramel syrup. It tastes like cookie dough.
