Thank goodness I kept looking until I found one without the wholes. I found a nice 'old fashion' pizza pan at Linens N Things.

Sigh.... you get my domestic juices flowing with those pics!

You want to hear something hilarious? So I bought a new round pizza pan today... and then ran over it with the shopping cart.

LOL. . . I was just thinking "I don't think mine was that hard to clean."

Then I remembered I didn't get it into the washer load last night.

I think I'm going to try the flipping method. From what everyone is saying, it sounds like I just didn't leave it in long enough. I used the pizza pan so I could spread it out as evenly as possible, but "crispy" ended about an inch in from the outer edges. Everything else was pale and damp on the bottom.

Now I have an excuse to try it again tonight. Eggggcellent.

Except that I was up 2 lbs this morning, probably from the salty pepperoni and canadian bacon. I love pepperoni. . .

Tuscan-- aren't I so lame?

I was pushing the cart through the parking lot and heard a sound like a hubcap hitting the concrete. Then a thubump. I looked down and there was this total cart wheel mark/crease through the pan.

This is the pizza I made tonight with the new pan... (It's a big pan!)

Hey Cleo!

Your pizza looks amazing!! The pan doesn't look any worse for the wear!

So, did you use a DOUBLE batch for your new honkin' big pan?

I used a *pinky to the lip a la Dr Evil* triple batch.

Granted, I had to bake longer at 425 after the initial crust bake, and then it needed to rest on the counter after that to solidify, but it was a hit! There are only 2 slices left. Everyone had some! I bought the pan at WalMart for $4!

wow I have that pan, I bought it recently. It would make a HUGE pizza. lol I can't even imagine a pizza that big. I bought some of the goodies to make some pizzas just realized I forgot the pepperoni () anyways...When I do get to make them I also bought some mozzarella string cheese I am thinking of trying to make it stuffed crust with this crust. Because I SOOOO miss stuffed crust pizza!

Ok, here's my pizza! Wish I had read all the posts before I made it because mine was a little soggy in the middle too. But still tasted great. Next time I'll cook longer, make smaller, and/or flip over. The crispy parts were absolutely delicious! As you can see, I DON'T mess around with the pepperoni. A great recipe and thoroughly enjoyable!

Really messed up on my second pizza but in my defense my oven is wacko....I thought I was OK with the temp but it burned on the edges at about 15 min cooking time....sigh...ds son and I ate it anyway LOL
He said it was good in the parts that weren't burnt!
Next time...more spray on the pan and maybe finally break down and buy that stupid oven thermometer

{{{mac}}} I have been worried about you! Are you feeling better? I emailed you to find out where you went. I knew you guys had been ill.

Ocean-- that looks fantastic! Another trick for a more dry crust would be to let it rest on the counter post the first baking. The longer the pizza sits, the more it settles and dries out. Of course, you risk a crispier pizza...

Hi Mac! Thanks for the welcome! How have you been? Miss you on SS-man it's so quiet over there lately! I dunno about the broccoli crust...maybe someday.

Thanks for the tip Cleo. Next time I'll definitely let it sit out. It was yummy the way it was, if it gets crispy then it will be out of this world!

I made a Walmart run tonight and bought 16 pkgs of cauliflower. I cannot believe it is only 99 cents a lb. The store I used to buy it from is $3.54 for a 2 lb package. Lots and lots of pizza and lasagna ahead for DH and I.

Dang, RVLady-- that is an excellent price! I can't even find it that cheap at Wal-Mart! Way to score!

I'm thinking I need to grow stuff in my yard to make pizza.

Who says pizza doesn't grow on trees? Or in the dirt?!
