I keep a lot of the baking stuff in the freezer, especially my flax meal. I have heard, that if you put your flours and powder items in the freezer, for a least 24 hours, when you buy them, that anything, like bug eggs, would die. I would hate to think of eating bug eggs, but, I would hate, even worse, to see it crawling, in the mixing bowl. Ha! I know, I got off the subject! But, I leave a lot of that stuff in the freezer, just to keep it fresher. Don't know if I'm right or wrong, but, that's what I do, and I keep my flax meal, for a long time, and it's always fresh tasting.
