I followed Cutie's recipe minus the Sweetzfree because I figured the SF syrup was sweet enough for me. It was delish!

All of these ideas for oopsies are great, but whenever I make them I just want to eat them plain with butter - I can't help it...I especially like them cold!

That's it. I've had enough of reading about these rolls. I was ascared to try to make them because I'm quite terrible in the kitchen, but enough is enough! My mouth is watering, I have visions of oopsies in my head, and I will prevail!

Okay I just pulled a batch out of the oven (camera is here somewhere and I will try to get a pic)..they look and smell wonderful! I had 5" foil pans and made 4 large ones topped with moz cheese..the confinement in the pans helps the stuff to not run all over, plus I made sure to only use a spoon to mix in the yolks and that worked perfectly!!

They puffed up alot while baking but shrunk a bit once out of the oven..but thats okay because they will be perfect for tonites hamburger for supper..I was thinking that they would be the perfect side to go with roast beef..a Yorkshire pudding if you will..they have the same shape??

I bit the bullet and made these today. They were very easy to make, just a lot of mess for 6 rolls. I will double the recipe the next time. I used 3 Jumbo eggs and close to 4 oz cream cheese and threw in a small handful of almond meal. Used the release foil and it made 6 large rolls. I love the idea of cream puffs and yorkshire pudding. I made a sandwich with swiss/almond spread and smoked turkey.

Thanks for the great recipe.

I threw caution to the wind and doubled the batch ~ used a smidge of lemon juice cuz I have no cream of tartar. The ones in the ramikins (thanks for the idea, JennyJ) turned out really good, I think. Don't know for sure cuz I haven't taken them out of the ramikin yet but they look awesome. The other ones are pretty flat ~ but I slathered some butter on one of them right out of the oven, and oh. my. deliciousness.

Once I get the hang of the egg whites (more the folding than the whipping), it'll be smooth sailing all the way, I'm sure.

Oh, and a good tip for egg whites ~ don't stiffen until room temperature, and use the older eggs in your fridge instead of the newer ~ something about the chemicals in older eggs making it easier.

You guys are doing great!!!

They do rise in the oven and then shrink on the cooling rack. That's normal.

For anyone who is scared to try making them, try cutting the recipe by 2/3. Since everything is in terms of 3's, it's really easy to do.

Three words:

Best. Creampuffs. Ever.

Oopsie Cream Puffs

2 oopsie rolls
I dollop chocolate cook and serve sugar free jell-o prepared with high-fat milk.
Whipping cream and Splenda

Place oopsie roll on place. Cook pudding and cool in fridge. Prepare whipping cream with Splenda (I used 2 packets for a pint). Place a dollop of chocolate pudding on the bottom roll. Top with other roll. Add a dollop of whipped topping.

Can add sliced strawberries for color and flavor.

Carb total: about 8 per cream puff (net)

Zoinks. I think I'll have to do this with the ones I made in the ramikins. They came out way thicker (put a lot of batter in em) and would be perfect for this, I think.

Mine were just on the cookie sheet and came out really well, but I bet smaller ones would be super-cute, like little cups!

The cream puffs taste better than the standard ones. Seriously! It is decadent and extremely rich. A little goes a loooooong way. I posted a more succinct recipe to my blog. When the pudding is still slightly warm.... oooh la la!
