For my filling I used a cream cheese frosting recipe from the recipe room....pretty much cream cheese and vanilla Davinicis (1/4 cup) and a splash of lemon. I subbed the Davincis for splenda. Next time I am going to see if I can make the cake more chocolate tasting and use Linda Sue's Buttercream frosting recipe. Also going to try the Ricotta version....being italian...Canoli cake is a favorite of mine.

The rolling is pretty easy. I baked the oopsies cake for 30 min. As soon as it came out of the oven I inverted the cake onto a dish towel then carefully rolled the cake using the towel. Let it sit for about 20 min. Unrolled the cake, added the filling and rolled the cake again. Wrapped the cake in plastic wrap and put in fridge.

Yum drooling over a lemon roll with poppy seeds ... please update and show pics if you make one.

I made a Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto Roll tonight that was great on a double meat bacon cheddar cheeseburger. Yum! I was out of cream cheese so I used the original recipe substituting mayo, BUT, it would be fantastic in a Oopsie. If nobody has mentioned it before try the pesto in an Oopsie roll!

Dedicated and S1mon3 those pizzas look awesomely delicious!

I made another one this past Friday evening. My aunt and her friend and friend's daughter happened to drop by just as I was pulling it out of the oven and were salivating at the very sight of it. They devoured it like there was no tomorrow and they were amazed that the crust was flourless.

I made the regular 3 egg oopsie recipe and also added oregano, garlic powder, onion powder and a little salt to the yolk mixture. I then spread the oopsie batter on a pizza pan and then sprinkled flax meal and a little parmesan cheese on top and baked that for about 35-40 minutes. When, I saw that it was brown I took it out of the oven. It turned out nice and crispy. I then topped it with my own LC pizza sauce that I made - using tomato paste, tomato sauce, seasoning. Then I topped it with shredded mexican blend cheese and a little oregano and put it back in the oven until the cheese was melted.

It turned out very good! My kids even loved it! It was just like a normal thin crust pizza!

Glad to hear your pizza turned out good. It sounds like it was delicious.

Mary, I am sorry your pizza didn't turn out well for you. The sun dried tomato presto sounds good in pizza crust. Sun-dried are about the only tomatoes I can stomach, so I am really curious. Is that sold in the grocery stores in a jar?? Thanks! I hope the pizza has a better turn out next time.

No, I don't like that kind. I think it's more like meat paste than ground meat. I just watch for markdowns on the stuff in tray packs. I do think that ground chuck has a slightly better flavor than regular hamburger but it tends to be a little on the lean side after cooking.

Linda, how did you get such a perfect looking bun? Did you use a muffin top pan? It has great eye appeal.

No offense at all to the recipe authors ... obviously yours turned out fine. Not mine! I had to throw the whole thing away and couldn't even salvage the toppings. I did try to salvage it first though by sandwiching two pieces together (that last picture) and then trying to crisp it up in a pan like a pizza quesadilla and that was even worse. Yuck. Couldn't eat it. I can't imagine what happened to mine but ... I am broken hearted. Am I the only one who failed at Oopsie pizza making?

Sorry to hear your pizza didn't turn out, Mary. It looks delicious just the same. How long did you bake the crust for, intially?

Yes, I used a muffin top pan and used the buns upside down. What you see is the bottom of the bun.

Okay, well that's good to know, I never buy that type of ground beef either.

I love ground chuck too and when I buy my ground beef, I'll get that family pack they have. It has some good marbling on it.

H20, I can't recall but I want to say I cooked it initially about 40 minutes or so.. until it was brown. I don't know what could have been wrong, but I may give it another go with just plain cheese in a smaller pan. That was a pretty big pizza pan.

LindaSue, I do the same thing when I bake my rolls - I do them in the muffin top pan and then turn them over putting the "bumpy" side down on the sandwich or burger. It makes it seem more like a regular bun!!

Determined, I bought my pan off of Amazon cuz we didn't have any here locally either.

Diana, that's what I buy. The big family pack of ground chuck and just split it up for the freezer.

I added 1/4 teaspoon of xanthum gum in the whites. That stuff had my whites crawling up my mixer blades. I had to pry them off and. Mixing the yolk mixture in was no problem. I don't think the whites would have ever broken down.
