Wow, that's all I can say. After reading and reading (and reading). I finally got together the ingredients and made a 4 oz+ 4 eggs batch. I wish I had a camera.
Thank you Cleo! |

Revolution Rolls could be made with cream cheese, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese or mayo. I have never tried an oopsie with mayo but you would just substitute 3 oz of mayo for 3 oz of cream cheese. It should work the same but I have not tried it yet.

Mayo works great and is my favorite way-I also leave out the Splenda when I use mayo. Same ounce substitution. |

With NO offense to my boopie lisa (I lurves yew) I am not a mayonnaise fan in this recipe. It's too caloricly dense for me.
Three ounces of mayonnaise in a recipe would just kill people who are trying to keep their calories a bit lower. That said, maybe it would be all right for occasional use, but for daily use, I'd stick to cream cheese. |

The TBSP puts me back into the grody original recipe. I made the original. It's nasty. I've disliked RR's since 1984 when my parents first made them.
I know everyone has different tastes, but I need the extra cream cheese or the item just isn't savory and stable enough for the things folks tend to want to use them for. For folk who can't or don't want the CC, that's understandable to use the 3 Tbsp of mayo, but man! I can't do that. I think this recipe has been so popular due to the extra cream cheese! It's all over the place, now! So for the folks who've been there and done that, the oopsies are the new wave of bun enjoyment. (out of context, that could sound really strange)

Mine are always stable-it's just personal taste-I like the way the ones with mayo taste and of course I also like the chocolate ones w/cc too!

I agree with you on the mayo, Cleo. I have made them with mayo, cream cheese, and ricotta and the mayo ones are major ick to me. Ugh! It is the 3 ounces of cream cheese in this recipe that makes all the difference in the WORLD for me. I am forever grateful for your oopsie!!
I happen to add a Tbs. of whey protein powder to mine for some extra stability. I love these things and it is a joy to have a sandwich for lunch again. Thanks for the oopsie revolution! ![]() Last edited by sungoddess : 02-08-2008 at 09:39 AM. |

I like the mayo ones for sweets (I just put a little butter and 0 carb syrup on them) but CANNOT STAND them for savory things. I can only do oopsies for that. The mayo ones actually make me feel ill if I try to use them a burger bun or anything like that
Glad you made that oopsie Cleo ![]() |

bun fetish people unite!
choconut, I've never used a stone, no! Tecno-- I have some chipotle mayonnaise I might try sometime if the mood hits. I might try making only one egg's worth and see what I think. I just ate so much mayonnaise the last time I did Atkins... |

Has anyone tried fat free cream cheese. My bf accidentally picked it up by mistake. Do you think I could use it?

Cleo, I just made these rolls for the first time and I think I'm in love!!!!
I don't really care for the rr because it's really hard for me to tolerate the eggy taste. But your rolls are so pretty looking! I'm using them tonight for a bbq sandwich. I wanted to ask you, if you store them in the fridge or leave them on the counter? |

DH & I BOTH thought the Walden Farms "jams" had a nasty taste! We bought the apple butter and the apricot and they were both so sweet we were both disgusted. . They went into the garbage can. |

Hi S1mon3, I don't know? LOL!
When I folded in the ingredients, I did it gently and I baked them according to the directions, but I left them in for about 6 min longer. I tell ya, this is the best lc roll I've had! |

I added a half a scoop of vanilla protein powder to my egg batter.........it was after i already mixed them.........and they puffed up!!!! WOOHOO!!! Here's what they looked like.......top view is the waffle themselves........i tried to get a side view to show how thick they came out. Just like a regular waffle! The last pic is the finished product.......strawberries and cream belgian waffle!!!!! i'm going to add caramel davinci's the next time....they smelled and tasted like the real thing!!!! Oh and i added some cinnamon to the egg yolks too.
OH and the kids SCARFED these down with peanut butter and s/f syrup!!!!! Our 16 yr old boy had seconds with the strawberries and cream and i don't think he could have eaten it faster!!!!! Now i KNOW how to get them to EAT!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!: cool: ![]() ![]() ![]()
